    Only problem with Danny Jansen coming to the Sox is that when Kenley is pitching to Danny and O'Brien keeps referring the Jansen , we will not know which one he means. Neither will O'Bie.

    70 more hours for Breslow to bolster the BP with at least 1 arm. Could/Would he get another starter ? Need to sink the Yankees early today.

    Let's assume that miracle of miracles, Grissom and Story actually play a full season ( 140 games) next year. Mayer on hold then, although it might be better to play him at 2B or swap with Story and let Grissom be the bench guy with Hamilton. The OF slots are already crowded with Duran, Rafaela and Abreu, Anthony on hold. Yoshi is strictly a DH. O'Neill is likely not re-signed, but that may not be true , say $6Million to re-up.. The team has a $2M option of Refsnyder for '25. That would seem to be cheap insurance vs O'Neill. Mc Guire was valuable when he hit, not so much now. Give Teel another half season at WooSox, then decide between him and McGuire. Presumes Wong never gets injured. I'd say Anthony and Campbell, keep Mayer and Teel.

    Regarding SS and 2B-- the Red Sox have a RHH hitting good field Ss and a potential 2bman ( give it time) all under contract and multi-year control. Alas , their ability is to no avail.

    Bernardino stopped throwing strikes. His LH sweeper is too wide to induce swings by LH hitters. When he comes back with a FB, he doesn't have enough velocity to get it by.

    Kutter just needs to keep the ball in the Park. Hr's have been happening a little too often by Boston pitching

    Rewatched the 7-8-9 after the game . The assessments of the plays and players certainly is more circumspect. The key hit by Yoshida worked because Yankee infield was drawn in. Rafaela's 2 run shot was totally legit. Horn was not sharp nor in position to field. Wong worked a tough walk to get our second man on, very close on Ball4/strike 3. Jansen will never work a clean inning in his remaining baseball life, so don't expect it. DJ LeMahieu who at one time was a force, has nothing left. Judge taking K3 was inexplicable. Don't trade Wilyer Abreu, trade others and get a relief pitcher. Zack Kelly does the most obvious mistake possible, then repeats it. Put the ball center-center twice. This may be the far better way to watch the game , knowing the outcome. Probably the top win of the year, and rejuvenates the Nation.

    Per O'Bie, 6 th time in last 7 games the BP blew a lead in or after 7th inning, including the Daily Double of 2 blown saves in 1 of those games

    OTOH, realize you are only down by 3 ( 4 to win) in Fenway Park and they have 9 pouts to work with. Still a winnable game, but have to convert Men on Base.
