Duran pops out to left side again. foul even. Oh wait a winning Yankee player gives up his life to catch a ball Never see that urgency and energy from Sox -
The overall current team simply cannot catch up to anybody fastball. Gonzalez remains an embarrassment
-
Schlitter may have 20 K'ed the '27 Yankees but it doesn't excuse the very poor support of Early by Sox batters or fielders. The defense wasn't just 3 or 4 feet of bad luck, it was not sharp in a playoff game. The hitting speaks for itself and did for most of September. It's on the players. not Cora
-
Try 2. maybe 3 if they need TJS a week after signing
-
The sad part tonight is that so called professional hitters cannot scratch out a run or two over 7 innings in a 4-0 game. Schlitter may be good but the Sox seem like they quit. They had him at 38 pitches after 2 innings and just now asswipebAbreu Ks on the 100th after a full 7. If Schlitter was throwing all strikes someone should have hit a couple, but Abreu needed rehab games
-
Lowe is very slow and Story needs an off season. Not one notable defensive playtonight
-
Sox were overmatched by Schlitter Gonzo is too short to play 2nd.
-
It was the hitters, Fredo. It was always the hitters
-
No not wrong, but the passivity Cora shows may keep the kids calm , and he does have a contract and yelling doesn't score runs but maybe show some level of urgency
-
Stat padding Gonzo after the game is messed up
-
In all seriousness, I just don't get Abreu. and really don't want to
-
Cora says the defense didn't back up Early and make plays. Cora reminds me of Elton John in Tommy. Stands like a statue becomes part of the machine. Cora's veins flow ice water
-
The reality is that 5 run inning. can overcome this deficit. On the other hand. this horse crap should show Breslow what he needs to do over the next 5 months
-
But Max , the season is over. You only play the season to get to this point trying to win it all
-
So Lowe is the sack of crap we thought he was
-
Anyone offer an opinion.on Gonzalez's range ?
-
Your cue. Fred. It's time.... ....
-
Not arguing with you, that's a distinct possibility. But maybe they could have discussed it pregame, not in Ft F'ing Myers
-
Not bad luck. poor judgement. They are sinking Early at bat and in the field
-
Where are GG'ers now ? Rafaela took the Great Circle route to the ball. Early deserves a lot better
-
When Yoshi slashes to LF/LC he is a very good OBP hitter. But with this group NO ONE can hit a ball out behind him. So many games in September the lack of hitters was noted. It is not just Anthony missing
-
So I guess it is Early's job to carry 1-9 on his back for 7-8 innings before the hitters show up
-
Down 0-2 coming out of the dugout to on deck
-
Never seen an .826/.305 hitter with less impact than Gonzo
-
Early showing no fear. Maybe the lineup could do the same.
