  1. No doubt your team looks a lot better now than at the start of the year. But Boston has basically only played the O's and White Sox in May.
  2. Manny Machado: .237/.316/.432/.748, 101 wRC+, 0.8 WAR Gio Urshela: .354/.416/.532/.947, 156 wRC+, 0.9 WAR This is obviously sustainable over the course of the year. Cashman iz a genius.
  3. Possibly. I know Homer Bailey has also thrown two no hitters so it's a close call.
  4. The only thing more shocking than Mike Fiers throwing a no-hitter is finding out that it's the second time he's done it.
  5. After starting out 13-2 with a +42 run differential, the Mariners have gone 6-17 with a -37 run differential. Looks like the Sox just played them at the wrong time. But it also didn't help that your team was playing like dogshit to start the season.
  6. Pulled that win out of our ass, can't complain though. Gotta keep playing Urshela at 3rd while he's hot.
  7. Yeah I don't know at what point they shift from saying it's bad luck to saying it's a poor job done by the training staff. Some injuries were unavoidable but many were just muscle pulls and strains. Maybe I'm just mad but I would fire someone.
  8. Frazier is back so I'm just waiting to see who replaces him on the IL tonight
  9. Chris Sale. I've always wanted to hug a giant piece of celery.
  10. Females are attracted to the 4 C's. You have you be Cute, Charming, Classy, and have a big CPA certificate.
  11. Maybe Sanchez too if he stays healthy
  12. Par for the course. One guy coming back so someone needs to take his spot on the IL.
  13. Andujar is in the stadium but not activated from the IL. Should be back in the lineup at some point this weekend. Also LaMehieu is still out of the lineup. Despite him supposedly being available off the bench since Tuesday. Sigh.
  14. I will never be able to look at Timon & Pumba the same way again
  15. Oh well. At least Ellsbury and Bird have another friend on the permanent IL to hang with.
  16. Well at least we're not getting shut out anymore.
  17. I know these last two games must have felt like 10 wins for you guys, but the Sox will still be 6 back of the Rays and 4 back of the Yanks (in the L Column) if they both lose. Not hatin', just sayin'
  18. I thought grey was just how fancy people spelled it. Kinda like how fancy people pronounce vase (voz) while commoners say vase (vayz).
  19. I'm salivating at the thought of our lineup being at 50% strength this weekend: 1. LeMahieu 1B 2. Voit DH 3. Sanchez C 4. Torres 2B 5. Andujar 3B 6. Frazier LF 7. Gardner CF 8. Tulo SS 9. Tauchman RF
  20. Our AAAA players hadn't seen a high end pitcher like Greinke yet and it showed. Greinke seemed pretty hittable, leaving a bunch of pitches over the middle of the plate. The top of the order (Gardner-Voit-Sanchez-Torres) capitalized on it a bit, going 4 for 15 with two 2Bs and a BB. But the newbies/re-treads were lost, going 1 for 15 (the hit was an infield single) with 6 Ks. They've performed admirably to date but I don't think we can count on them much longer with a string of above average opponents coming up.
  21. We'll trade you Cameron Maybin for him
  22. Time to trade away the lefties for some righties.
  23. At least it appears that DJ And Urshela avoided any significant injuries. I have no idea who would have been called up/added to replace two infielders.
  24. And of course Lamaheau exits the game with some injury
