  1. I'm fine with how he's been resting players. Happ just didn't give us a chance today. Scoring 4 when JV is starting ain't bad.
  2. Boone really mixing things up with today's lineup: 1. Aaron Judge RF 2. Gary Sanchez C 3. Didi Gregorius SS 4. Giancarlo Stanton 5. Edwin Encarnacion 1B 6. Brett Gardner CF 7. Gleyber Torres 2B 8. Gio Urshela 3B 9. Cameron Maybin LF P James Paxton Hicks out again, supposedly he's dealing with a shoulder issue now. I hope he does not become the next Ellsbury. I'm also surprised they did not make a move to add another reliever. With Green and Hale unable to pitch today, they'd be shorthanded if this game went into extras or Paxton shits the bed.
  3. Florial, Deivi Garcia, Gil, and Loaisaga are all around Top 100ish. Probably none of them would be in the top 50 though. Pereira, Seigler, and Cabello have a shot at being top 100 by year end depending on how they perform the next few months.
  4. Scherzer's contract makes it so the Nats won't get very good prospects back in return. I think about $100M of his salary is deferred until the year 2028 or something like that, no team wants any part of that s***. Unless the Nats eat a chunk of his salary then trading Scherzer would not net them much.
  5. No word yet on who gets booted for Judge. But if I had to guess I think Hale gets DFA'd and Nestor gets sent down for Judge and Chance Adams. They need another long man in the pen.
  6. 30 HRs may not be a huge deal anymore. Right now 58 players are on pace to finish with 30+ HRs. Last year only 27 finished with 30+.
  7. Looks like it now. Kinda crazy box score, Yanks have 12 runs but only 6 hits.
  8. I'd say it was more about Snell imploding. Yanks only had two hits on him (single and a short porch HR). He just couldn't find the plate, and the reliever they brought in behind him allowed all three inherited runners to score.
  9. Good news - the Yanks tore Snell a new ******* Bad news - my fantasy team now has a 17 ERA for the week
  10. Deivi went 6 innings yesterday allowing 1 hit and striking out 15. That is absurd.
  11. Just woke up to get some water and saw this game wasn't final yet. Has the pitching been that good or is everyone just s***ing the bed on offense?
  12. Sevy to start throwing off a mound next week. Which means he probably won't get into sim/rehab games until mid July, so early August is probably a realistic return date barring any setbacks.
  13. C'mon man, you can't do an upright handstand while doing a full scrotum stretch???
  14. For luxury tax purposes (which is what seems to matter the most) the Yanks will only be hit with $3M this year and $5M next year (assuming they decline the team option).
  15. Good win for you guys. I kept checking the score in anticipation of your bullpen imploding but it never happened. Shucks.
  16. Hopefully the offense gets going. Happ will probably give up at least a few tonight.
  17. Too bad Mike King has been shelved all season. I would have liked to see him grab the 5th SP spot.
  18. Are those the rankings? They seem out of whack. Deivi and Gil are probably top 3 at this point. Medina shouldn't even be top 20.
  19. I'm glad I'm out of the country and unable to watch these losses. Still annoying to check my phone everyday and see another L.
  20. I guess Morales is sticking around for a bit. Yanks sent Estrada back down to AAA. I suppose it makes sense since you want the kid to get regular playing time and he's only been playing once or twice a week with the Yanks.
  21. Hopefully Didi's return also sends Morales packing.
  22. Yanks were 1 for 12 with RISP last night. That'll do you in most nights.
  23. Samford is definitely an interesting pick. I'm looking forward to seeing how he develops.
  24. I don't think this has anything to do with Severino specifically. If the Yankees are serious about winning a WS this year then they need pitching depth. German is reverting back to normal and has an innings cap, Sabathia and Paxton are injury prone, Happ is a #4 or #5 at best now, and nobody knows how Sevy will look once he returns (And Monty after a year layoff? Come on). It may turn out that we don't need Keuchel if everyone pans out, but can they take that risk with a shot at the title on the line?
  25. That would make sense but apparently it was OK'd by the Sox president: “We like the concept of being the home team in London because we have connections with Liverpool (the Red Sox’s parent company, Fenway Sports Group, also is the parent company of Liverpool FC) and we have a London office so we get certain rights and benefits as the home team over there, our season ticket holders will have the opportunity to get tickets, our sponsors will have access to the games, so we like some of the benefits of being the home team.” According to Kennedy, Red Sox season ticket holders already have shown a strong interest in purchasing tickets to the London contests, which are set for June 29 and June 30, 2019. Kennedy expects both games at the 55,000-seat London Stadium to sell out. “It’s an economic reality that it was just easier to buy out Red Sox home games for the league,” Kennedy added. “So the Yankees have been great. They’ve wanted it to happen as much or even more.” According to Kennedy, Red Sox season ticket holders already have shown a strong interest in purchasing tickets to the London contests, which are set for June 29 and June 30, 2019. Kennedy expects both games at the 55,000-seat London Stadium to sell out. So basically it's all about the money.
