  1. What could $2000-$2750 a month in rent get you in any of these places? That's the going rate for shoeboxes here in NYC.
  2. What about that Hernandez kid. He looks like he'd be good at the back of a bullpen. And he may not start the year on the roster but if your bullpen sucks like most non-Boston fans foresee then he could be a good option.
  3. Hopefully this doesn't turn into what happened with Kahnle. Now he's back to throwing like he was in 2017 but he was a nonfactor last year after his preseason shoulder injury (I think it was tendinitis).
  4. Add another one to the list. Betances to start the year off on the IL due to shoulder inflammation.
  5. Well I guess it depends what Mookie does this season. If he replicates his 2018 season, I can't see him taking a deal that's not at least comparable to Trout's.
  6. California rejoices for all of that tax revenue
  7. Yanks sign Gio Gonzalez to a minor league deal that could be worth $3M if he is added to the roster.
  8. I don't trust the Yankees anymore when it comes to revealing injuries. They constantly play off every injury like it's a minor thing. Bird (ankle) - it was supposedly a bad bruise that would heal on its own but he needed surgery and wasted a whole season Judge (wrist) - Boone said they saw him coming back after a couple of weeks but he missed two months Hicks (back) - sore back that was supposedly nothing but now who the hell knows when he'll actually be back I hope Sevy will be back by early May but knowing their inability to evaluate injuries makes me believe it will be later.
  9. I'm pretty sure we won the WS this afternoon 14-1. Suck it!
  10. Maybe the Yanks could use someone like Porcello. But not Brian Johnson. He's on par with Cessa.
  11. Conor is a has been. Guy hasn't won a fight since 2016.
  12. Also for reference, check out whose outfield dimensions are smallest in MLB. Gasp!! https://community.fangraphs.com/complete-outfield-dimensions/
  13. Lol 100% accurate? Based on what? And I guess Yankees stadium doesn't count as a MLB ballpark since there's no giant backboard covering 40% of the outfield.
  14. https://www.bostonherald.com/2019/03/06/red-sox-steven-wright-suspended-80-games-for-hgh-use/ Perhaps most frustrating for the Red Sox is that Wright knew he failed a drug test in the offseason but said he was appealing the suspension and didn’t feel obligated to tell the team until last week. “Because I knew it was coming, I kind of held out hope in the arbitration or the hearing and stuff,” Wright said. “But I knew it was inevitable, so I felt like my obligation to tell them, I had to, just because of the respect that I have for them.” If he felt he was obligated to tell the team (like he claims) he would've said something when it happened. He withheld that info out of self-preservation. But it's funny how he's trying to spin it.
  15. Why would a knuckleballer need PEDs? Dumb.
  16. I thought she got hired by the Mets to do something?
  17. I don't think Keuchel would consider signing with the Yankees because he'd have to shave that beard he's been growing for half a decade.
  18. Sonny can say whatever he wants but everyone knows he just couldn't handle the pressure of pitching in NY. Did he only throw sliders at home? Is that why his home ERA was 6.98 compared to 3.17 on the road last season? Getdafugouttahea Sonny.
  19. Severino scratched today due to shoulder discomfort. Will go for evaluation later today. Gulp.
  20. But what is baseball talk without irrational arguments???
  21. Hmmm are you sure the reason you loathe Petitte more isn't because he was a Yankee and Clemens was a Sox for 13 years??
  22. I'm glad he finally signed so we can stop hearing about him. Sucks for him that he has to spend the next 13 years of his life in the city of Philly though.
  23. Because the space between matter, sometimes known as dark energy or anti-matter, does not interact with light. DUHHH.
  24. True, but I think he was referring more to Andujar's fitness and work ethic. The dude doesn't get any better at third but it's not from a lack of trying!
  25. Something will have gone terribly wrong if he does not make the ASG. Barring someone having a breakout season, the only other good catcher in the AL is Sal Perez, and he's coming off of a .713 OPS season.
