  1. No tanks driving in front of the White House? What a ripoff.
  2. Sucks to lose late like that. Especially to the s***** Mets. But it happens, get em tomorrow.
  3. I don't think Estrada qualifies anymore. Could be wrong though. And yeah forgot about this year's draftees
  4. I wouldn't slot a 16 year old that high on the list even if he's being compared to Trout. My rankings are something like this: 1. D Garcia 2. Florial 3. Gil 4. Loaisaga 5. Seigler 6. Abreu 7. Schmidt 8. Pereira 9. Cabello 10. Whitlock 11. Breaux 12. King 13. Dominguez 14. A Garcia 15. Ryder 16. Myatt 17. Stowers 18. Sauer 19. Nick Nelson 20. Osiel Rodriguez
  5. Seems like a bit of a desperation move. When is Nate due back anyway?
  6. I wonder what happened. I saw that he posted something on Twitter within the past 24 hours. RIP. Edit: He was found dead in his hotel room in Texas (they were in town to play the Rangers). No foul play suspected. So then it was likely either a stroke/heart attack, drugs, or suicide. Very depressing.
  7. Probably one of the most noteworthy points in the article: The Sox have roughly $100MM committed to players who have combined for only +0.6 fWAR in 2019 It's hard to win when almost half your payroll is contributing nothing.
  8. The funny thing is that the players are the ones who voted for the reserve all stars and the picks still got screwed up.
  9. If you can't use your scrubby relievers in 11 and 8 run games then why bother having them on the team. They just need to do a less s***** job.
  10. I wonder if there's something about this time of day that makes it easier for hitters. This is right around yesterday's start time when 12 runs were scored early.
  11. Still the 2nd best start in London history for Tarpley
  12. Media asked the Yanks pitchers if there was anything wrong with the mound and they actually said it was one of the better mounds they've had. Maybe every pitcher just sucked all at once?
  13. Word, you could actually say that Tanaka was 100% more effective than Porcello
  14. Since the first inning I've went to Costco, ate lunch outside, and come home for a nap. Just woke up and this s*** is still only in the 7th, good grief.
  15. Basically identical half innings for both teams. I don't think I've ever watched a first inning like that in my life.
  16. Game is on pace to last 9 hours. I'm already getting sleepy.
  17. Nice of tanaka to make this a competitive game for the Brits
  18. You can thank the Sox president for robbing your team of two home games. He thought the income potential outweighed the importance of two home games against your oldest rival. Aside from that I liked your opening statements, they set the stage for a dramatic weekend.
  19. Deivi Garcia could get the Loasiaga treatment and get called up straight from AA to start. He has to be added to the 40 man roster next year anyway so I don't think it's that outrageous of an idea. And I'm still mad that Mike King has been out all year, he'd have been perfect to slot in.
  20. I haven't looked through the Sox scores but having a high run differential with a middling record generally means that a lot of your wins have been blowouts and a lot of your losses have been close games. Is it due to luck/randomness? I guess the final 81 will tell us.
  21. How did Boston have the #4 offense and #1 pitching during the last 41 games yet they only finished 3 games over .500? I enjoy stats as much as everyone else but in this case they're misleading.
  22. On a side note with the Rays, they're currently in the 17th inning against the Twins and have been playing for over 6 hours. There have been 26 straight plate appearances between both teams without a hit. Those are the worst types of games.
  23. Casas looks like he could be a good MLB player one day but you guys are overvaluing him. He's 2-3 years away from a potential call-up and he'll likely end up playing a non-premium position (1st base). He might be your best prospect but that doesn't mean he's gonna fetch Noah Syndergaard. I don't think you would even get Shane Greene straight up for him just because there's going to be a lot of demand for high-end relievers at the deadline.
