  1. Nice Moon. What's the payout? I had the following bets: $10 each on Tennessee (16:1), Kentucky (14:1), LSU (55:1), and Kansas (60:1). Also four $10 brackets, all busted. So pretty much Kentucky is my only hope left.
  2. A deserving loss. Aside from Paxton it was a poor showing all around. Also Boone please bat Gardner 9th.
  3. Finally get to find out who is the closer
  4. One of the latest YES commercials. Kinda corny but still pretty funny:
  5. What an unimpressive display for the WS trophy. I'm not jealous or anything like that
  6. No baseball on a Friday night, this is some ********
  7. I disagree about Summer Catch. It's like 60% about baseball. And it doesn't hurt that they fill up the non-baseball parts with Jessica Biel in varied amounts of clothing.
  8. Ahh nothing like a matinee beatdown to kickoff the season. Looking forward to being able to watch a full game this weekend.
  9. Does it really matter? They both play the O's the same amount of times during the year. All it means is that we'll be playing better teams later in the year while the Sox are hammering the O's.
  10. Meh, they gave that throwing error to Miggy but Bird should have caught that.
  11. How do you leave off Moneyball, Summer Catch, and 42??!! That list is a sham.
  12. Per Jack Curry, here is today's lineup: 1. Brett Gardner CF 2. Aaron Judge RF 3. Gian Stanton LF 4. Luke Voit DH 5. Miguel Andujar 3B 6. Gary Sanchez C 7. Greg Bird 1B 8. Gleyber Torres 2B 9. Troy Tulo SS I'm a bit surprised that they moved Andujar ahead of Sanchez, but I agree with it. At least until Sanchez shows that he can mash again.
  13. Obviously the Yankees have WS aspirations this year (and every year), but one fun little side quest last year was chasing down the Mariners' home run record. Barring some debilitating injuries, they look poised to challenge the record again this season. 268 is a large number but it's certainly doable with so many sluggers in the lineup: Home Runs Needed Stanton: 45 Judge: 40 Sanchez: 30 Voit/Bird: 30 Gleyber: 25 Andujar: 25 Hicks: 25 (if he returns soon) Didi/Tulo: 20 LaMahieu: 10 Gardner/Frazier/Tauschman: 10 Romine/Wade/All other role players: 10 This comes out to 270. These totals don't seem too wild to me since everyone has roughly hit their HR figures before (except Void/Bird). Here's looking forward to another record setting year and an overdue ring!
  14. Get Mueller on the case!!
  15. No worries. I actually just looked back at the thread and saw you asked about dues a bunch of times. This section is so low on the homepage that I never noticed there were new posts, so it was my mistake.
  16. Okay. I should have remembered the dues but I'm kinda pissed, especially since I had to leave work early to get home before the draft. Whatever. I hope your team sucks.
  17. Add me back please. I'll send the $$ now, completely forgot
  18. Drafting Red Sox players is a sure way to finish in last place
  19. I'm sorry Kimmi. But the Capulets.. err I mean other Red Sox fans will never let us be together.
  20. Is Kimbrel even gonna play this season?
  21. I forgive Ramiro Mendoza for going to Boston and imploding
  22. Whoever worked that mustard squirter did a s***** job. You're supposed to move the dog laterally during the squirt so that you don't end up with a bunch of globs.
  23. Disabled people were supposedly bothered by it because they're permanently disabled, whereas players are just temporarily hurt. I don't care either way, I just hope I don't have to talk about the DL/IL a lot this season.
