  1. 1. Oops. I meant semi-finals. They did win 55 games and I want to say might have gotten past the Knicks if Pippen didn’t sit out the end of game seven. 2. I do not agree that fewer teams makes it easier. It’s not like rolling a dice where each side/team has equal probability. In fact, fewer teams actually ups the overall talent in the league, making repeating more difficult. Personally, i don’t like “rings = greatness” arguments because rings are a team accomplishment. But six rings really is the first argument everyone out here makes about Jorda’s greatness. Not his career-leading PPG, which is not a clincher but is a better argument...
  2. Not by me for every Jordan Fan!! “Jordan is the GREATEST PLAYER EVER!!” “Why? LeBron and Kobe have really good arguments.” “SIX RINGS!! SIX RINGS!!” “Bill Russell has 11 rings.” “Not the same! Russell was on a great team!” “Jordan’s team wasn’t so bad. They made it to the Eastern Conference finals while he was playing baseball!” “But six rings!! Six rings!!” “And Russell got his 11 rings in only 13 seasons.”
  3. Hey it gives him more free time in October and January...
  4. Fair enough. For me, Miller met my admittedly low expectations, and probably even exceeded them. I always expected more from a football lifer like Dierdorf, but he continually disappointed me with his ability to do nothing but point of the incredibly obvious...
  5. Miller was worse than Limbaugh? Miller, who once said "Easy to believe the league leader in fumbles was a guy named Griese". Try getting THAT out of Dan Dierdorf. The best thing about Miller was he was generally quiet during good games, and when the game sucked, they let him go a little more...
  6. Or, if you prefer other literary devices, foreshadowing...
  7. I haven't either. Too much Jordan Love in Chicago. I can see the argument for him being the GOAT, but there other players I rank right there with him. But in Chicago, that's heresy...
  8. No but we did learn Damon could run all the way to New York
  9. And ends with the best call in the history of televised sports...
  10. Anyone in a league that already had their auction or draft prior to the season's suspension?
  11. And Wisconsin union buster/Packer fan Paul Ryan to publicly demand getting the real refs back, which garnered a lot of backlash...
  12. Would you prefer they broke out some Koreans like Ken Jeong and Margaret Cho?
  13. Not for Harry Carey. He spelled any name backwards regardless of the race of the player and certainly with no regard for the complexity of the name. He was all about Equal Opportunity...
  14. We need to resurrect Harry Carey to broadcast these games. It would be so much easier for him. "Lee spelled backwards, is eel." Much easier than watching him try that with Andres Galaragga...
  15. You gotta love how Asian baseball teams go by the name of their sponsor rather than cities. It's like Little League in the USA...
  16. Well that is something Mr. Springer accomplished without any help from his Astros’ teammates and something that isn’t marred by any scandals. James Earl Jones and Isaac Newton are also excellent role models for stutterers.. And Nick Ahmed is really, really underrated as a baseball player...
  17. You still have Matt Barnes and the very underrated Nick Ahmed...
  18. I love it! That same crew could also use
  19. Maybe he was just talking about how steroids affect others. Like costing them the MVP award?
  20. Yeah. As I said, it’s actually a pretty good choice. Plus it shows a certain intimidating importance in the lineup...
  21. Absolutely amateur players are welcome. It can make any jokes difficult to get. But hey, if you had one in real life, go for it. And that’s actually a pretty good choice for a walk up song. I’m going for (bad) jokes here, but I like the choice. Also, hypothetical players are welcome too. Another one needed would be David Cone and his perfect song.
  22. Inspired by 5GG and Bellhorn, the idea is simple. Assign the perfect walk up song for any hitter (or pitcher) past and present. Explanations are welcome but not necessary. Also, if you have a better song for any hitter already done, go for it. An easy one Jose Canseco
  23. Well, Velcro wasn’t invented at the start of that at bat...
