  1. Breaking news that the Yankees were cheating!! Tomorrow’s headline - water is wet!!!
  2. The problem was largely with the SP. The pen was OK by some metrics but was also overworked. The real problem was #extensiongate that severely limited the Sox ability to make any improvements...
  3. I think #globalpandemicgate might have a similar effect...
  4. Well, if “they” are saying it. So you’re saying “Pffft! Only 30,000 Americans dead. Why all the bitching? My mom’s meatloaf kills TWICE THAT!”
  5. So you’re saying those 45,000 Americans are not dead?
  6. They’ve won 10 or more games every year since 2002. That’s insane. That 2003 team was probably the best team in NFL history. They played an insanely tough schedule and still went 14-2 on their way to a Super Bowl title...
  7. The Patriots have had some horrific seasons. This is a team that won 19 games total in the 5 seasons before drafting Drew Bledsoe. They went 1-15 in 1990, only beating the Colts. And the general feeling was “what the f*** is wrong with the Colts?” They had one year where they went 2-14 and the Colts also went 2-14. The difference was BOTH of the Colts’ wins were over the Patriots. (The Colts were in the AFC East back then.). Those were some bad, bad, bad teams. But I’m not ready to write them off. I don’t have faith in Stidham, but I do have faith in Belichick...
  8. Belichick doesn’t do third place...
  9. Just the replay room guy. No biggie...
  10. ... which is made doubly-weird because his other posts are about how COVID-19 is all a big fraud...
  11. There was evidence that the Codebreaker program had started in 2016 before Cora was hired. Now, Luhnow is another matter...
  12. Not sure. If the Pats fall apart - and bear in mind this team went 10-6 with Matt Cassel at QB - Buffalo is the clear front running beneficiary. The Jets do have to replace X-receiver Robby Anderson, although Quincy Anunwa is a very underrated slot receiver. But Darnold is inconsistent to date as a QB, and he has to improve to make it matter. Also, Leveon Bell might not be the answer at RB much longer...
  13. Yes, but I like watching the Jets suffer more. The Jets need punters. Lots and lots of punters...
  14. Exactly. The Giants need to work on that last sentence. Quickly...
  15. I don’t blame Brady for playing as long as someone pays him, but screw the Bucs. Maybe I’ll prioritize Godwin over Evans in my fantasy draft. But that’s about it for me as far as this goes.
  16. That’s only 2 starting QBs ago...
  17. The Giants took Daniel Jones at #6 last year. Have they already run up the white flag with him? NFL teams are so impatient. Their O-line sucks. Fix that...
  18. What if the Pats roll out with Cam Newton and OJ Howard?
  19. Or Seattle Albatross Couriers...
  20. Oh it’s ok. It’s just an odd joke because Garvey made it work 35 years ago...
  21. Also for the record, “Pittsburgh River Ruffians” EXACTLY captures the spirit that leads to team names like “Trash Pandas”. Maximum points awarded there...
  22. Technically I think the San Diego team moniker refers to a priest or chaplain. Or, given the old logo, possibly a monk. There is no way you remember Steve Garvey (former Padre first baseman who had a scandal with some illegitimate children with multiple mothers. These events lead to a popular bumper sticker that read “Steve Garvey is not my Padre”). Why do I remember s*** like this?
  23. Just a couple of retirees meeting up in Florida. Nothing to see here...
  24. Absolutely. I’m a model American...
  25. I just like the fact that these teams got very creative with their names, opting for their current monikers over Norwich Narwhals and Rocket City Raccoons. You never see MLB teams do that. And that's why we don't have the Detroit Man-Eaters or the Minnesota Meiosis...
