  1. He's great when he's a Mile High. When he's out of Coors, it's a much different Story.
  2. It's the Deadline Like No Other.
  3. Yes, he did a terrible job in that department in games 4-6 of the ALCS.
  4. And he really needs to have a chat with JD about swinging at those low outside breaking balls.
  5. In the words of the classic song by Charlie Rich: "No one knows what goes on behind closed doors."
  6. "Could be fine" - nicely put.
  7. Not sure if the majority are still out there any more.
  8. But are we really worried about the Tigers and Rangers and Mets getting better?
  9. Right, it just seems weird that teams like the Tigers and Rangers are the ones doing the signing.
  10. No, I think it's insane too.
  11. You just have to wonder what all these signings have to do with what's expected in the new CBA.
  12. There's something strange going on...can't wait to find out what it is LOL
  13. Seems like nearly all the big spending is being done by teams that missed the playoffs?
  14. Rangers invest an even half-billion in Seager and Semien.
  15. Not uniform, forum.
  16. You're just guessing, like the rest of us.
  17. That's just because it's a baseball forum.
  18. Henry has had other endeavors for a while. It's not a brand new thing.
  19. He's got a net worth of around $15 billion, so maybe not...
  20. Robert Stock keepin' it real!
  21. The Mets would be the exception. Cot's has them at 223 mill already. If they add Scherzer at 42 mill, that's 265 mill! Steve Cohen ain't afraid of no CBA.
  22. Mets are the new Yankees.
  23. 53 years for me. Cheers.
  24. We'll see. The Sox had the highest payrolls in the game in 2018 and 2019. Not so long ago. I think JH really wanted to re-set. Personally I think JH is a very smart dude. And he knows Red Sox Nation will not abide going cheap for long. Keep the faith, man. There are good times to come.
  25. Bloom will get his chance to spend. Henry's not a penny-pincher, he's just doesn't want to toss money down the drain as we have done sometimes.
