  1. Get well Papi...don't want last night to be your swan song.
  2. That's because Buch is the starting pitcher Saturday because of Wright's injury.
  3. Well you're right of course, BABIP often just confirms what we already know, that there's no way the guy can keep it up. Leon is kind of an extreme example of it right now. Blah blah blah
  4. Wright's pinch-running adventure not only costs us at least one start from him, but it also meant that our one effective reliever tonight, Buchholz, could only throw a few pitches.
  5. And Barnes. It's like these guys still have hope of getting Farrell fired.
  6. Cheer up Max...2 runs in 4 innings isn't so bad...might still get more this inning.
  7. OK that was funny. There is actually a movie about a half-man/half-snake called 'Sssssss'.
  8. Catching a big break here...have to capitalize.
  9. Farrell has that sort of Born Loser thing going on. Any time he does something that might be questionable, he gets burned.
  10. Jesus Christ. Why didn't he let Buchholz pinch run instead of Wright? Farrell definitely has a streak of buffoonery.
  11. Leon's current BABIP is .440. Ty Cobb has the highest BABIP in history at .378. The smart money says Leon's BABIP is going down.
  12. Let's hope...
  13. Price and Kimbrel are doing their best to prove that some guys don't fare as well under the bright lights...
  14. And nobody really knows for certain if any of JBJ's problems were a direct result of being 'rushed', or if he would have had the same learning curve regardless.
  15. Interesting, but those are single season BABIPs. I must have career BABIPs.
  16. The AAV on Pedroia's extension was $13.75 million. The AAV on Cano's contract is $24 million.
  17. I wonder what the highest career BABIP in history is...
  18. How can you possibly say otherwise. The most he will be paid in any one season is $16 million and that is only one year. For a guy who cranks out 4 WAR seasons it's a clearcut bargain.
  19. Thank you sir.
  20. It's a great story, but the recent ones didn't work out for long. Bo got injured, tragically. Neon and Ainge packed in baseball fairly quickly. Jordan and the others I don't know much about.
  21. Beltran Plan A Beni Plan B ?
