  1. Um, Wright had just pitched a complete game 3-hitter and had a 3.01 ERA when he got hurt.
  2. C'mon Slash, you're not being reasonable at all. This reminds me of when Pumpsie Green used to say the same thing about Lester. Price has 225 IP, an ERA+ of 113, a K/BB of 4.77, a bWAR of 2.9. Saying he has pitched like a #2 is fair.
  3. How did Schilling do in his first home start for us? See if you can answer without looking it up.
  4. Sorry, man, but this is just something you're making up. One game early in the year is forgotten quickly.
  5. Price pitched fine in his first start this year.
  6. Coming off an injury though.
  7. .380 is a big ask.
  8. First home game of the season is not a big game.
  9. His OBP in AA was .357. Good, but not spectacular.
  10. Clay is giving us another of his 'great half-season' specials. The guy is too much.
  11. Expecting a .390 OBP from the kid in his rookie season is a bit much IMO. After Ortiz, the highest OBP on this year's team is Pedroia at .378, and that's 12 points above his career number.
  12. What kind of Plan B are you thinking? We already have 3 third basemen including Moncada.
  13. The only way I'm ever starting a game thread is if the Sox lose 10 in a row some year and I am turned to in desperation.
  14. What's going on? Is MLB's total revenue tumbling?
  15. What did he ever do to you, besides spend a ton of money on your ballclub?
  16. Yes, I do find it frustrating that we can't even consider something like Schilling's postseason numbers meaningful. We almost have to define what 'meaningful' actually means in this context.
  17. Yes, I'd have to agree. One of the categories Porcello leads Kluber in is Quality Starts, 25 to 22.
  18. I was assuming he meant all the males here.
  19. Question: are there any pitchers whose postseason samples are large enough to be considered meaningful?
  20. Buchholz has a 3.13 ERA when he pitches to Leon, 4.44 with Vazquez.
  21. Agreed on all points.
  22. That was just an inside joke for BDC folks.
  23. Pitching prospects not so much.
  24. K/BB is a big one, is it not?
  25. He's a chocker.
