  1. Yours were the 2012 numbers.
  2. It wasn't that long ago our bullpen was being called worse things than awful.
  3. I think we're pretty fortunate to have won 2 games in this series that we trailed by 4 runs and 3 runs. Anyway, we'll see.
  4. I'm thinking more recently, like 2011. Not that I'm worried about us collapsing, but we've seen a lot of crazy stuff happen.
  5. Generalization does create a lot of confusion. If someone has a beef about a specific post, they should respond directly to that post - like you did with Slasher's post.
  6. The Yankees are almost done but I'll wait till it's official. They're 4 back in the WC with 14 left. If they beat us tonight and then sweep the Rays things will look much different. Weirder things have happened.
  7. No offense, southpaw, but nobody's really directing their posts just at you.
  8. They can't go to sleep when starting pitchers only average 6 innings. Managing the bullpen is a huge part of the job.
  9. Most of the really heated criticism that managers take comes from their in-game pitching changes or non-changes, IMO.
  10. LOL WTF with the Tito ass-kissing part...sounds like you just wanted to work in a diss on Francona there.
  11. Actually .321/.895 for his Red Sox career.
  12. Retardi, you mean. I can't remember our resident Yankee fan Jacko ever saying anything about him that wasn't negative.
  13. True, although the more important diagram might have been his shoulder X-rays...
  14. I could be wrong, but Farrell seems to be doing a pretty good job lately-bullpen management included.
  15. Like I always say, the team has a lot more patience in these matters than the fans do, and thank God for that.
  16. YOTN, is there any evidence at all that blacks are being kept out of baseball? If there is, let's have it.
  17. Everybody's got their ideas when it comes to the lineup.
  18. Second time in the series we came back from 3 runs or more...nice!
  19. Xander might be back!
  20. Right you guys are.
  21. Mike Napoli hit a fly ball last night that J. Upton lost in the lights. When the ball hit the ground it bounced like a freaking Superball, up and over the 19 foot high left field wall, with some to spare. Some folks have been wondering why the big increase in home runs this year. I've been wondering if the balls have a little extra spring in 'em.
  22. Personally I take nothing for granted. I agree the Yanks are probably postseason toast, but we still have to play the f***s 5 more times - important games for us if not for them.
  23. You're right, the science is very inexact, as it often is with health matters. We had the 'Verducci effect' thing a few years ago when Tom Verducci noticed that a lot of pitchers with big innings jumps were getting hurt. Then there was the Strasburg controversy, and last year the Matt Harvey controversy - which probably added some fuel to the argument that it's better to err on the side of caution.
  24. sell high !!!!!
