  1. Nuh uh, I'm outside the Metrodome setting cats on fire.
  2. Really? You don't think that Baker is possibly better than Rick Porcello? Porcello's 1.345 WHIP sucks, Baker's at 1.186, and your boy Verlander's at 1.175. Yeah, Baker's given up more homers and has a higher ERA, but Baker's ERA has been under 4 since the all star break, which is rarely taken into consideration.
  3. Lol, dude Blackburn and Baker man, couple of beasts. What're you talking about?
  4. The Twins have the season series edge against the Tigers, they're hot, and the Yanks had to come from behind to beat them in almost every game of the first series they played. Twins played the Yanks tough back then, it's a different team now, but the Twins are atleast hot, whereas the Tigers kind of s*** the bed to allow this playoff to happen.
  5. 1.) It's close 2.) The Twins hold a season series edge 3.) When someone says "What are you talking about?", it's usually a rhetorical question
  6. Grrrrrrr, you suck  Twinks!
  7. What are you talking about?
  8. Who doesn't want the Twins to win? :thumbdown Go Twinkies!
  9. Good boy
  10. Whatever, you're pro-Tigers. Screw you
  11. : o
  12. ... Why?
  13. Grrrrrrr
  14. How do you guys pronounce it? I usually hear it as "Tamms"
  15. It's because I love the Twins
  16. And some people have too much of a mollycoddle the team that really deserves it mentality. Honestly? The team doesn't lose a game on a blown call, it's their fault that they allow it to happen. Because someone's out at that plate, but the call is blown, sure, it's a loss. But it's still their fault that they allowed the runner to make it as close as he did. They still lost the game, the umps may have aided to the loss, but you don't blame it on them, it's probably due to a games-worth of mistakes. Team B should get another chance because they most likely got the best of a team that Team A didn't get the best of, and that's why they have equal records. Enough with the arrogant condescending s***, okay?
  17. So what? Umpiring can only do so much damage. The Umps don't usually conspire to make a team lose a game, and there's still other games that they probably should have won, that they didn't. They always have control of your record. They don't deserve extra chances, but they have the same record as the other team? They still won the same amount of game, and if you get into qualifying each and every one of their wins, it becomes a helluva lot more complicated. If the better team plays the lesser team, they should be able to win. It's all in the hands of the teams.
  18. 24/31 is 77%
  19. In my opinion, if you win 90 games (Example) and your division rival wins 90 games, you should play a one-game playoff. It's your fault you didn't win 91 to put you over the top. If you think it's offensive, then stop s***ing the bed, simple as that.
  20. It's nothing but an error. Baseball sure as s*** wouldn't fix a game between teams like the Twins and Tigers.
  21. Awesome! Favre was excellent, 24/31, 271, and the defense sacked Rodgers 8 times, 4.5 for Jared Allen. That man is a beast!
  22. Yeszir just has to add it, grrrrrr
  23. I just wanted to get to this, I'll get to the other bit when I have time tomorrow, but I feel like it's necessary to defend this. When I say technically it could, that means that, well, in reality, there's no chance of it ever happening. Technically, we could trade for Tex, Sabathia, and a bunch of other guys if we really wanted to. Technically, we could trade Dustin Pedroia for Nick Punto, and technically Nick Punto could have a 80 home run, 80 RBI season, and technically, the Red Sox could go undefeated. Guess what? It's not a reality. Consistent? I think it's plenty consistent, but either way, I think you're the last person who should get into a dispute over consistency.
