  1. ... That's what Gom just said...
  2. I like this, I'd definitely give a run at Lackey, as well as go after Felix. I like the possibility of this too, I think it's certainly doable. Btw, I like that projected rotation, a lot, example.
  3. I think Adrian Gonzalez would complete my above statement. He's no Albert Pujols, no one really is, but he is an offensive force in his own right. I too think that Holliday makes great sense.
  4. I'd say Holliday is certainly the better overall player, but let's remember this; We absolutely have to get someone to be his Albert Pujols. Look at his stats from before and after the trade; there's a significant improvement in overall offensive production after being traded to the Cards.
  5. Jason Kubel needs to burn for this s***. And f*** Joe Nathan, he always turns into a little girly he-bitch against the Yanks, holy s***. Oh well, go Angels, go everyone but the Yankees.
  6. Welcome to Talksox.
  7. I don't mind Pettite either, but saying "as long as he wins" is basically condoning his use of steroids. I'm glad he buried Clemens as well. Clemens threw a bunch of people under the bus in an attempt to save his ass. He not only proved he was a cheater, but a cowardly human being as well.
  8. God, we miss Morneau a ton. We would have won last night with Morneau in the lineup, as well as with Carlos Gomez not tripping over the base, and Joe Nathan not fearing the Yanks, and the Umps not sucking Joe Girardi's dick.
  9. Good stuff. Pavano's pitching well so far, I couldn't be happier. Now if we can get some offense going, I know it's been a trouble to do that since Morneau got hurt.
  10. Nice to know I'm not the only one representin' the MN here : ) Let's go Twinks, even though the Sox are still my team, still love the Twinkies.
  11. Because they have the best chance of the remaining teams to defeat the Yankees. And one of the main duties to all Red Sox fans is to wish the Yankees the worst of luck. I don't say "GO ANGELS", rather, I'd say "GO WHOEVER'S PLAYING THE YANKS!". Also, I'm from Minnesota, and they are my second team to root for anyways, so I'm pulling for the Twins right now, even though there's about a snowball's chance in hell that they beat the Yankees.
  12. Their offense is weak now, because Morneau changes that offense so much. He's one of the greatest offensive powers in the league, as is Mauer, but with both of them, as well as Cuddyer and Kubel, the Twins offense is usually an unstoppable force. I love the Twinks, but their offense isn't going to be good enough, and god knows the rotation is god awful outside of Blackburn and Baker (Who aren't exactly aces). I wanted the Twins to win only because my homerism would not allow me to go against them.
  13. Yeah, he's been prone to more mistakes in the cold as of the past handful of seasons. I think Favre's most likely on his last season, and Ziggy is trying to pull some strings to get a new stadium. He wants to make it a retractable roof stadium, but I don't think we need that extra s***, when we'd have an enormous advantage just keeping it completely outdoors. Minnesotans can take that weather. We need to unleash the beast that is Minnesota cold. Good god, it's one of, if not THE coldest place in mainland USA. (Note: this excludes Alaska)
  14. I know this hasn't much to do with Brett Favre, but the Vikings need to move back to playing outdoors. The Metrodome BLOWS, and their home field advantage used to be enormous, because every team dreaded playing in the Minnesota winter. Every since we've moved to the Dome, the Vikings haven't been the same. We've had the 1998 team, but when we were outside, the Vikings were one of the NFL's elite teams for most of the 1970's, even though we lost the Super Bowl... A lot.
  15. Carlos Gomez plays the centerfield position better than almost anyone, but that's it. He has nothing at the plate. He's basically just an awesome glove with absolutely no offensive ability whatsoever aside from speed. I really wish that we had traded Santana for Lester. Gomez? Srsly? Wtf was that, we gave Santana up for practically nothing. Hell, atleast if we had traded for Lester, my Red Sox would have Santana, and the Twins wouldn't have been buttf***ed on that deal so much. God I hate Bill Smith, the worst GM. He gave up Garza for Delmon Young too. Get rid of this guy, atleast Terry Ryan knew how to make a deal like no one else could. I've never seen someone get so many good teams on Pohlad-budgeted teams.
  16. Welcome to talksox, where the guys outnumber us by a lot. Nah, there's a few of us who post here frequently, so it's all good.
  17. Brett Favre can be considered the greatest QB of all time, Bart Starr is a legend, but he cannot.
