  1. If you want an ace who gives up 6+ runs a game, then this team is fine. That's exactly what's happening, so this thread isn't useless. What's useless is the fact that Beckett is labeled an "ace" when he gives up 6+ (this 6+ is a generous one) runs.
  2. Tampa Bay owns the Sox. At least moving Wakefield to the bullpen was one step in the right direction for this team... other than that, no show.
  3. Next thing we'll know, he'll be crying injuries again. Excuses, excuses.
  4. I thought Josh Beckett was our "ace"? Sure looks like it.
  5. I have a right to make a bold precition as I did. And so I have. I want to beat those Yankees too, but it's not going to happen. Yet, it's good for baseball if the Rays win.
  6. Victor Martinez was never the solution. The trade for him was only half decent. We lost Masterson and we only gained him for pure offense on an already declining 2009 Red Sox team. As we saw, he didn't propel us to where we needed to be. Still, he's an ok hitter, much better than Tek, but no, not a permanent solution.
  7. You're too much. I mean, I'm not that smart. Up there, but surely there are smarter people out there. And if I say things right, it doesn't automatically make me smart.
  8. So, you'd rather have a guy who hit .250 start in center field? I'd rather have Coco Crisp on this team before that joke Cameron.
  9. If you say so... I won't call myself out on it though. I'll only talk about the Sox, that's it.
  10. Ellsbury. Get rid of this Cameron guy. He's not even half decent. Another bad signing by Theo. I knew the guy would not perform even before the first game he played. Ellsbury is far better at CF. In fact, start Hermida in LF. At least he is younger and can have some upside in his prime career.
  11. Well, now you do.
  12. I've called Ortiz done since the end of the 2008 season. He's long finished.
  13. Call me a troll if you want, but I will praise this team if it starts to win. Unfortunately with the team we have, it won't. If it does though, I'll show my praise. But until then, I vote Rays.
  14. Texas takes two out of three. Especially today. Wake can't pitch good to Texas.
