  1. 21-14 at the half. Lovin', lovin', lovin' this! Favre has looked absolutely awesome!
  2. Harden's upside is tremendous, and I completely advocate going after Harden, considering the fact that he's proven in the AL, and Bedard and JD are fragile, and in my opinion don't have as good of stuff as Harden. I think that alone is adequate enough for advocating going after Harden And Bedard and JD are just as big of risks, without the upside. As was stated earlier, I think Bedard could lose the 'tude about not wanting to play for his team. That strikes you, when a guy feels as if he's not properly motivated. He's being paid, and he shouldn't piss and moan about his team's performance, he should go out and do his job, and he shouldn't bitch. Like I said before, it was the Mariners. Huh? No one said you were "overpaying" for anything, but the fact that you don't think it's out of the question for us to get both is startling. And as said before, we don't look for a reliever. We're looking for a 5th starter, not a guy who goes back and forth spot-starter. You think that that's all we're going to have to give up? Don't even understand that we have other needs? We can't just blow our entire system to bolster our roster to one of the best in history. It's out of the question. Read the above statement. We have other needs, and it's not going to happen. Technically, you're right, it could, but why would you even bring that up? There's not even the slightest chance of it happening.
  3. NL Central? He's dominated in the AL as well. Dude, you're the king of this as far as I can tell, way to contradict yourself What? You're kidding right? Seattle promising contender?
  4. This as well, and he didn't even crack 200 yards until he passed for the 300 against the 9'ers
  5. That's great Woohoo! 14-7! Brett's rollin'! Keep 'er up Vikes!
  6. No love for my facepalm (forehead slapping) emoticon?
  7. Yes, so in other words, you think there's a chance it could happen, right?
  8. Woah, woah there cowboy, did he just say there was a chance we could get both Harden and Bedard? Please enlighten me.
  9. You never know, because the player doesn't usually say "Yeah, I wanted to beat 'em bad so I gave it an extra kick", because then they get criticized for their efforts in previous games, and future games. So really, we won't know, but most will build it up as such if he has a huge game against the Packers, and I will too, because I think it's personal between the Packers and Favre.
  10. *Goes back and looks who first mentioned Reyes* *Sees the pattern* *Suddenly understands*
  11. And how did Justin Duchscherer get brought into this conversation as a substitute to Harden/Bedard?
  12. Then why did they win a lot of big games too? It goes both ways, and you're cherry picking little instances where he came up short. The man has been to the Super Bowl twice, he's won it once. That's more than you can say for a lot of QBs. Dan Marino, most talented QB ever to play the game won a grand total of ZERO Super Bowls. How can you say Brett Favre isn't a big game, burning desire player? He holds the record for consecutive starts as well. I think it's asinine to question Brett Favre's desire, to say the least.
  13. How does referring to poor performances in a few big games not imply that he doesn't show up for big games? Those just happen to be big games, but it could just be coincidental. I don't know, I'm not going to say it was what you were saying, but it surely seemed as though that's what was implied. And, again, I can supply many key games where Brett Favre DID play spectacularly. It happens to the best of us. However, in the biggest game of them all, Brett Favre played pretty well as a whole.
  14. You're picking a few instances where he probably could have tried harder, and you're shunning his performances in the Super Bowl He has a career Super Bowl passer rating of 97.6 with 506 yards in two games, as well as 6 TD's, one rushing Don't tell me Brett Favre doesn't come up big in games, because he does. Remember the game after his father died, where he threw for 399 yards and 4 TDs?
  15. Really? You don't think there's a chance he won't play harder due to the fact that he wants this more than anything right now? I think when you leave a team under bad circumstances, chances are, the next time you play them, and especially in a game such as football, you're going to give it everything, and then some. Brett Favre had a big year with the Packers, and he wanted to come back, and they gave him nothing. They were smart by not letting him go to the Vikings, I'll admit that, but when your star player wants to play another year, and is still evidently at the top of his game, you don't just tell him that there's no place for him. It was said that they even tried to buy him off into retiring. How tacky is that? I think with what happened there, Favre wants this game, probably more than anything else. I'm not saying that's a good thing or a bad thing, but Favre wants to beat the Packers a lot.
  16. Yeah he is, and the Packers want his head right now, but with that being said, Favre is going to play at about 300% like I said before. He wants this really, really bad. No one can stop AD, no one. You can only hope to contain him, but that's about it. I see AD having a big night, and Favre as well. I think it'll be a close game, but the Vikes are gonna win it. My inner homer will not let me think otherwise. I am sorry.
  17. Whatever you do, pick the Vikes! Wooooo!
  18. Not gonna happen buster!
  19. Since Dice-K's return he's lowered his ERA form 8.23 to 5.76 (6 runs in his 4 starts). Clay's been rocked in his past two starts completely. His inconsistency makes him suspect, and as stated before, you can't just give the ball to someone who's given up 13 earned runs in his past two starts and just hope he snaps back to where he was before
  20. Okay, I am so psyched for this tonight. I will watch it one way or another, just gotta figure out how (No freaking cable), but I will. Brett's going to kick some ass tonight hopefully, I hate the Packers with every fiber of my being, and we have to win our games against them this year with Brett. 4-0 is a good start, and I think we have a legitimate chance at winning 11-12 games this season
  21. ^This^ And of course, there's NEVER a chance of someone being serious about such crap pile moves
  22. AD's going to kick ass, as usual. Brett Favre is going to go 300% against his old team, he wants this win more than anyone. I think it's going to be close, but I'm a homer on this one. Vikes all the way!
