  1. This could be a way to draw Trump to a game.
  2. It's that time of year. He will return ready to swat.
  3. Good to see you Buddy. Post more please.
  4. Does anyone remember on the show Sopranos when Pauly was being ribbed for washing his hands after tying his shoelaces? He explained how shoe laced were unsanitary because of the back spray from pissing would land on the laces. Lol.
  5. Imagine my horror. I was very short at 12 and found that I had to pee upwards!
  6. Well in defense of JE he does know how to hand out free tacos. That has to add up.
  7. And Moreland did nothing to distinguish himself. In fact, he failed on two opportunities to scoop short hop throws. He has to do better than that in this town or he will get the treatment big time. Even if he starts to hit. For all the "defense first" at catcher, how do you feel about a GG 1st baseman that does not handle short hop throws? Pablow was responsible for one of the bad throws. Otherwise he looked pretty good today. On his bad throw he rushed it and was not set. He had plenty of time. He just flubbed it. Oh well. Not bad for a guy who could not tie his own shoes last season. I'd be shocked if this is not Bennie's Beantown at the end of this season. That kid can hit. Of course I have been saying this since they drafted him.
  8. I don't miss Clay at all. But I kind of miss my old psycho girlfriend. Best sex partner ever.
  9. Lol. Maybe. But he won't win a Gold Arm.
  10. Cool. I get to see McCuchin (sp ).
  11. I am happy for Tommy Archer. I hope that he has a big year.
  12. Some of the stuff you say makes me scratch my head. Not this time. Well said young man.
  13. Clearly Halley's Comet was being clutch.
  14. I like a strong throw for a put-out at the plate. From the outfield. I saw a strange play a couple of years ago. Johnny Ghomes caught a fly ball in left and ran in and tagged second for an unassisted DP. That was odd.
  15. So is Brentz dangling in free agency or do the Sox still own him?
  16. Good for Scott and Lol DD.
  17. As I recall no one on this site put as much effort into this subject over the years as UN. He talks about baseball with people working to make a living from the game. More than a few know quite a bit about the game. Throwing young and throwing braking balls young is a recipe for injured arms down the road. The human body is not an inexhaustible resource.
  18. Gibson was a beast.
  19. Yes he does deserve our thanks. Anyone put off or offended by his post is thinking on a juvenile level. Everything he said is true. DD's big moves to shore-up the pen have gone up in flames.
  20. Full disclosure Swihart is my binky. I can understand why people favor elite defense over hitting from a Catcher. But Swihart has an MLB ready bat and a good one. He is very athletic and speedy. My recollection from 2015 was that he was brought up much earlier than ideal because of Vasquez's surgery. In his games Swihart did have some problems blocking pitches. Somehow this has lead many to say that he is not ready defensively and can not call a game. In fact, some here have said that pitchers do not like to throw to him. I have never read or heard anything about that. I think that it is all just piling on a theme. "Swihart sucks defensively" or Swihart is not ready". The idea that he is not ready or that he needs X amount of MiLB reps is largely over played in my view. Does anyone think that both Vaz and Leone would be automatic choices as 1 and 2 if they had remaining options? Not me. I think that it would be a close call. Alas I see Swihart being traded for something that can not be identified now. Too bad. The kid is fun to watch.
  21. Is this the same shoulder and injury that he suffered playing left? If so I don't believe assuming a speedy return is prudent. Maybe he will need constant therapy and surgery. Who knows?
  22. Sloppy research at best. Those two would be better off reading Talksox to get their info. Seriously.
  23. You are not alone.
