    I have to hand it to you for your consistent optimism!!! I think the Pom deal had an odor to it from day one. I am suspicious of a relief pitcher that has a pretty good 1/2 season as a starter. Then there is his arm/elbow soreness last year. The platelet injection. There is plenty to doubt about this guy. He has a limited arsenal, throws too many pitches, and has no wipe-out pitch that I have seen. He will be more frustrating than Clay but much sooner. The Old Fart has spoken.

    It was a good game. Can't win them all. Sox scored 5 with a lineup missing three of their big guns. Wright did not screw the pooch. Onward.

    Small sample size alert!!!! Gee, Mr. Unsustainable looks pretty good this year. Tonight he had a double and a walk-off 3 run dinger. Of course he blew through a stop at 3rd and was gunned down too.

    I guess he is not considered a big time prospect anymore but I continue to be very interested in Swihart. My guess is while the system appears to have been depleted, one or two guys will emerge as prospect of note this season. Guys we have not been keying on.
