    Yeah after reading all that you posted on the subject of the Inverted W or whatever it's called, I have been leary of guys that have such mechanics. I remember Sale being mentioned as a prime candidate for a ruptured UCL. His elbow is a ticking bomb.

    Sustaining a viable second franchise in that huge market should be a priority for MLB. Saving any franchise should be done to ensure the image of MLB. You don't want any part being seen as weak.

    I know more than a little bit about human Physiology and have had a few protracted off line conversations with him. He knows far more about physiology and medical science than any poseur I could imagine. So yes, I know that he is a Doctor.

    Interesting post. I have a radical idea. Bring in Randy Johnson as a personal coach, advisor, and mentor. Change Owen's mechanics to mimic Johnson's. Not as tall or lanky but almost. Harness that frame to throw heat from more of a side delivery and intimidate the s*** out of batters. I know. Just fantasy.

    Today I learned that Devers is a big boy. I also learned why some say he is pretty good defensively. Nice footwork on a backhand three feet inside the line followed by a strong throw to first. I have seen nothing so far that tells me that Sam Travis will not hit in MLB ball. Nothing.
