  1. Too bad Merrero can't hit.
  2. He is paid to speak but he says way too much.
  3. You are new here so maybe you feel it's okay to just dis a Yankee fan for all of the imagined reasons. Jacko is an MD who played college baseball. Most of us understand his bluntness and interpret it as fair. He knows of which he speaks.
  4. I don't have a DVR. That would be nice.
  5. He did some playoff commentary for Fox, I believe, a few years ago. I thought that he was decent at it. The Boston media never liked him.
  6. He does seem to be doing well. That is good. I was concerned by a heavy slide into home the other day. It was a good slide but boy did he hit the ground hard and then extend his left arm ( the damaged one ) to sweep the plate.
  7. Now you just have to tell your family that you need some Mommy Time.
  8. Jacko is an MD. I value his insight. His comment is valid. That is all.
  9. Shoot him up and send him back out there!
  10. It is Spring Training. But I have every confidence that this kid can hit anywhere and help this team. I would not use him at 4 or 5. But anywhere else is okay.
  11. The Pat's could use another tall receiver.
  12. I second this opinion. Fixed.
  13. That would be insane. Dombrowski would need a body guard if he did that one. No need to panic. Not until another of the remaining top five gets hurt.
  14. I was a big fan of Ellsbury when he played for the Sox. To me his speed was intoxicating. I expected him to make an impact on any given night. But boy, has he been a gigantic waste of money for the Yankees. Oh well.
  15. I saw him when he came up with Toronto. He had a lot of buzz as a wonder talent. I never saw him do anything remotely memorable and I watch all the games that the Sox play against Toronto. Unless he has some kind of significant injury why would you wonder how much he has left in the tank? I can see him signing on as a back-up infielder with someone. I can also see him riding a AAA bus for the season. A player of no consequence that the Sox would be well advised to ignore. We have no need for this guy at all, even if Pablow fails to produce. It is kind of interesting that he was a 16th pick and now at 27 he is backing out the door of his MLB career. I hope that he has been smart with his money.
  16. Is Bogey no less vital to the Sox fortunes this year?
  17. Harmony needs to post his own Jacko type chart. "Sox prospect will fail. Mariner prospect already sucks." Give the anti-Swihart speak a rest, will you?
  18. Nothing wrong with that idea. It's what the game is all about.
  19. Yes. We must all concede that. I'm just hopeful that he can eventually develop a MLB quality pitch. Just one, mind you. For the record, I don't hate on the kid. I really want him to be good. But the clock is rapidly approaching midnight.
  20. It is so encouraging to see that Henry Owens is at the top of his game.
  21. In any case countries like Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan certainly have plenty of TVs if that is a standard by which you have to judge interest. Be serious. The WBC may mean little to Americans. But then we have MLB teams in most major markets. Seeing how their guys play against the best players in the world means a lot to many countries. This is a silly discussion. For the record I am firmly meh about the WBC.
  22. Are you serious? If so, yes.
  23. He'd rather watch those amazing Mets.
  24. Ask anyone in the DR or Cuba.
  25. So would I. I am not panicking at all. I just have seen next to nothing from Pom since his arrival and he is in camp being coddled because of an un-repaired injury to his throwing elbow. No I do not want Buch back and no I have not forgotten how maddening he was. I want to see Pom succeed. I just have very few reasons to believe that he wll do so based on his history and his time with the Sox. Does anyone disagree?
