    I have not seen this kind of dominant stuff in a Sox uni since Pedro. Sale is very exciting to watch. With him on the mound a person does not have a chance to become bored. Much like I was expecting from Price.

    Lol. Got to hand it to Moon, though. He puts a lot of thought and effort into the chapter - like posts.

    But the Red Sox records is not reflected by subtracting anyone. It is built by the entire staff. Kimmi's stats are valid and paint a dismal picture. Still, the Sox have been in almost each game and it is reasonable to assume or project that all of the faltering arms will perform better going forward. They had better or this will be a long and ugly season.

    Agree. He also ends up throwing way too many pitches early as a result. Owens has has similar success in AAA. Last year he threw up some nice lines in Pawtucket. Until he can do it with a steady diet of MLB hitters I am not counting on him for anything much. I do like the kid, though.

    There are lots of things that are not explained. My guess is that he is close to gassed by October and of course he pitches against better competition. Who knows? It is possible for higher end talent to not always shine while in a spotlight. He is not unusual in that regard.

    It remains to be seen if that is what the Sox have. One 4/4 night does not mean that Vas has learned how to hit well enough to play a big chunk of the games. Yeah, his D and game calling may be very good but is that enough if he is a low ave low OBP guy? Leon may be closer to a complete package than anyone saw before he was acquired. We don't know that yet, either. Who knows if they will not skip a beat.
