  1. Going back to ST, Crochet had been off. Not sure if it was the increase in IP last season, an injury or something else.
  2. Luzardo is 50/50 on throwing a trainwreck start. Good news for him is he's going against the Red Sox. Is he still tipping pitches?
  3. We're all just riffing here. Some just less successfully than others.
  4. He did sign a 5 year contract. Maybe he sees that elusive 5th season! 🐶🐶
  5. Aside from Crochet and Bello, the rotation has held up. Suarez 2.77 ERA Tolle 2.78 ERA Early 3.16 ERA Gray 3.18 ERA
  6. And Dave Roberts went down for stealing 2b one time. And Beni made a catch that is routinely caught every night in MLB but everyone acts like it's the greatest catch in modern Red Sox history.
  7. If they are burying a bat at the bottom of the lineup, the rest of the guys need to hit. That's just not happening.
  8. Durbin is at least playing great defense. That's it though. We now know what it's like to have Ke'Bryan Hayes on the roster.
  9. I think throwing strikes is really a big deal for Bastardo. His WHIP through the first 5 outings was 1.73. His last outing was his first clean outing of the year. I think he's not really close to being on the radar for a callup. They probably give him the full year to work back to normal and make a 40 man decision prior to the draft. He hasn't really shoved yet and the BOS bullpen could really use a guy like him. It's probably just not his time this year.
  10. The only way Schwarber was likely was to sign him back before '22 and build him into the roster back then. A lot harder once you add Masa.
  11. My son apparently bet his lunch money that the Sox would beat the Phillies tonight. I told him to not trust the Sox like that.
  12. They can't fire him because nobody will apply for the job. They are simply stuck with him through next season unless they are going to promote an internal candidate. Saying that shouldn't count as defending Breslow.
  13. No. Big difference between AA and MLB. Brannon has a lot of swing and miss and would be eaten alive. Arias has been hot, but still needs to show that this hot month and a half isn't an aberration. He'll get called up to AAA first with maybe a very late season callup to BOS. Brannon has a much longer path to go. He's missed a lot of time due to injury and doesn't have good defense to fall back on. Even if he keeps mashing, he's not close to BOS. His power is LEGIT though.
  14. What specifically was it that he said that bothered you? What's the direct quote?
  15. With how this organization has treated the fanbase since 2019, what is the incentive for anyone to be a 162 guy/girl? It just doesn't exist anymore. Now we're just endlessly fighting about the different reasons and ways we're mad about the Red Sox.
  16. My post wasn't carrying water for the team. If you see it that way, I don't know what to tell you. I just don't understand the whole "boycott, boycott, I don't care, this is horrible, but I'm still gonna watch" gimmick. When something sucks, I find something else to do with my life. Changing the channel is easy. Not letting Craig Breslow bother me all weekend long is even easier.
  17. Honestly, Sam doing that was a big PR mistake. What a dum dum. Even if it was up to Breslow, you don't say put it back on the CBO like that. Sam is just worthless. All communication from the Sox FO stinks (Brez, Sam, Tom, Henry, etc.). However, who here hasn't held Breslow accountable at all? I don't understand that point. Who is this mysterious fanboy who refuses to let anyone be mean to Craig? Since the Devers trade, it's been a disaster. They are just stuck with him for now because they have had too much churn at the CBO position and nobody takes this FO seriously anymore. They got Craig because real candidates didn't want the job.
  18. You're going to make one of the best young defensive OFers in baseball a 1B?
  19. "Some people thought it was good that Cora was fired. Therefore, they believe that Breslow is amazing and should never be fired." Cora bad. Breslow bad, but has plot armor.
  20. Expecting consistency from Story may be too much to ask. Duran? IDK.
