  1. Why would Theo take the CBO role? He has a gig for life and can never get blamed for anything that goes wrong? He gets to go around the country and give motivational talks to big wigs and be seen as a guru who won a WS for two loser franchises. He doesn't even have to be quoted by the media anymore. It's the perfect job. Nobody knows what he does!
  2. He has a 503 OPS since April 21st. One XBH in 48 PA. 1 RBI. He's not earning a spot.
  3. Cool, he's still going to play everyday because the Sox don't have better options to play the IF. Might as well play the best defender at his natural position. I guess you're the smarty pants who'd rather have IKF start everyday though just because of the contract, not because he's earned it with his 505 OPS and mediocre defense.
  4. The longer the Sox wait, the higher the AAV goes up for CBT purposes as it gets recalculated at the time of the trade as well.
  5. When I eventually leave FL, I'll miss the sandhill cranes (have been around up to 6M years).
  6. Trading Mookie was a huge hinge point.
  7. Why isn't he duplicating it? Swing changes? Bad luck? He's hitting MORE grounders and less flyballs. He's striking out more. He is just lost up there. Put it on a tee and he can't hit it. If you compare '25 and '26, this is the difference:
  8. This is a bad take because many pitchers have improved in this system. We don't know what Harrison would look like after an offseason and ST here. Not many orgs have developed young pitchers like Early and Tolle. To say pitchers can't get better here is silly.
  9. I'm not giving Story a cookie for playing through an injury when he was one of the worst hitters in baseball and his defense was pretty bad (don't care what the metrics said).
  10. Now that Story is out, it's time to move the better defender to SS. Sorry Monasterio, but that's not you.
  11. Contreras and Abreu are the only good hitters. Sometimes Rafaela.
  12. Change the channel whenever the Sox are hitting. Boring.
  13. ATL has been very annoying for the past 3 minutes or so.
  14. They take direction from Breslow. If Breslow said "teach them how to go oppo" that's what they'd start teaching. It's (a) too many cooks in the kitchen and (b) player regression.
  15. Hard to say. UConn plays a very easy schedule. It's not like he was lighting up the Big 10 or SEC.
  16. I don't see how the Sox could have signed Schwarber. They already had 4 OFers, 1 DH AND a Trevor Story that now needs to be moved out of the IF. If you sign Schwarber, that's possibly 3 roster moves they have to make to fit Schwarber onto the team.
