  1. Hansack had that no hitter! Of course it remains "unofficial" since it wasn't a complete game due to it being shortened due to rain. We had season tickets to the PawSox at various points in the late 80's. Lots of great memories. I won the quiz one game and the seat cushion that I got as a prize (also got a case of coke and a free oil change for my mom) was accidentally left behind after the fireworks later on that year. HMPH!!!
  2. I don't know what's worse, watching the Sox fall off in September or having to watch a game at the Trop. Dreary.
  3. I don't care about Horn's option. He's pretty horrible. I'd DFA him at the end of the season.
  4. Anthony is most likely going to play corner OF in BOS. Yorke was starting to play corner OF in WOO.
  5. With how often pitchers get injured, they need a ton of those deals. Hard agree.
  6. Yorke has a chance to play the positions that Mayer, Campbell and Anthony do, but I didn't see a reason to mention Teel as he can't play there.
  7. What is Kenley's definition? To me, they are out of it. They were in it through the end of August. Is that good enough?
  8. Red Sox need young pitching. Complaining about them swapping their own prospects for like kinds prospects in other organizations to attain said pitching is silly IMO.
  9. I'd rather have Mayer, Campbell and Anthony than Yorke. Just saying...
  10. There is no shot. It's been over for a while. This team is what it is right now.
  11. Reyes was signed by Breslow. Elmer is fine, but ceiling of a back rotation guy right now.
  12. I think he’d take it and it’s an overpay.
  13. Bloom: Whitlock Guerrero Dobbins Drohan Penrod Elmer Monegro Paez Early Mullins Dean Gambrell At the moment, nobody projects to be more than a backend starter ceiling. A lot of relief arms. Bloom seemed to really go for the high floor/low ceiling arms in the draft. Lots of orgy guys. Maybe Monegro can put it together under the new pitching system?
  14. That’s not enough to turn down a QO.
  15. You could use this exact argument to put Houck in the pen on 4/1/24.
  16. He does have good stuff. His issue is control. He ended his season strong in WOO and it has carried over.
  17. Not trying to be grumpy. I’ve just been yelled at by my kids all weekend. The new site has been a massive upgrade!
  18. There is an issue where the refreshing of certain ads has taken my cursor out of a reply I’m trying to make. Aside from that, no complaints.
  19. For all the reasons posted above, I initially questioned the rush and cost of the extension of Rafaela. I like him as a player, but accept his warts. He’s not going to figure out the plate discipline IMO.
