  1. I like Fried, but I've noted his injury risk. Another TJS and his career could be over. His elbow has flared up the past few years and needed to be managed. Wishing the Yankees bad luck on this one.
  2. Bregman just adds another roadblock for cheaper options in Mayer and Campbell. If Bregman was only going to sign for 3 years, I could see them making this deal, but he's probably going to want 5 and his bat is already dropping off. Why build up your farm only to sign older players that are in decline?
  3. If buzzers are involved, it would indicate that they are clearly in on Bregman.
  4. Wonder if it's just smoke to get Bregman's number down? Or it's just smoke to say "well, we did try doing something."
  5. Trading Arenado for Casas is just terrible even if the Cards were eating the whole contract.
  6. Other teams like to throw around President of Baseball Operations.
  7. If Masa wasn't on the team, it could make sense to sign Bregman. If Story and Mayer were always healthy, you'd just throw Mayer to 3B. IDK. There's still a lot of uncertainty here. If Henry is unwilling to eat a contract, they shouldn't sign Bregman.
  8. I think using their financial might and combining it with a strong farm system is the only way the Sox can be sure to compete year in and year out. It's how the Dodgers have done it recently. Why not spend more to build up the org if it doesn't impact the CBT calc?
  9. Why would they bring in Arenado to play 1B? Having a 1B that hits below 725? Yuck!
  10. Per Brock's posts after each previous ranking, he was ranked 8th in September and 10th in October. I believe the Top 20 list you're referencing has an error in it.
  11. I think we're seeing why they changed Winter Weekend... 🧛‍♂️🍅🤾‍♂️
  12. Some interesting names. The positional players are better than this year. The pitching may not be much of a step down. Catcher: Realmuto 1B: Vlad, Naylor, Goldy 2B: Arraez, Torres, Flores SS: Bichette 3B: not much OF: Tucker, Schwarber, Bellinger, Mullins, Conforto, Ozuna SP: Cease, Gallen, Framber, Monty, Bieber, Woodruff, Eflin, Senga, Ranger Suarez, Bassitt, Buehler, Nestor, Merrill Kelly, May, Civale, Maeda RP: Edwin Diaz, Devin Williams, Helsley, Raisel Iglesias, Aroldis, Robert Suarez, Pressly, Hendriks, Kopech, Romano, Taylor Rogers
  13. What credibility? This was the year to earn it back. Not sure there's any to lose.
  14. He's not a good IFer. May need to transition to the OF. Really limited ceiling as he has poor defense and not much power.
  15. I'm not so sure, but I'm also not a current Trackman employee. Triston has just been a guy that has been injured most years since he's been drafted (not quite as bad as Mayer, but similar).
  16. I think that's an issue with your browsing. I get adds for health care, Vanguard and local stores like Publix.
  17. Yeah, 2021 was really DD's team, but would have been better with Mookie still on it.
  18. How to judge? Projected fWAR for the next year? Vibes? Contracts given out?
  19. Having an in-game baseball injury is one thing, Triston's issue is a red flag.
