  1. It seems like a lot of people are writing Hamilton off. He was very solid last year and improved defensively as the year went on. At the very least his speed is an asset off the bench.
  2. That Luka Doncic/Anthony Davis trade is one of most shocking trades I’ve ever seen.
  3. I would’ve thought Koji would be over 100 also tbh. I forgot he had relatively low save totals despite his dominance. He was definitely my favorite closer we’ve had.
  4. The Dodgers now have the following starting pitchers under contraxt Yoshinobu Yamamoto Blake Snell Shohei Ohtani Tyler Glasnow Roki Sasaki Tony Gonsolin Dustin May The Highest career ERA of them is 3.49 by Glasnow. This isn’t even including some of the prospects they have such as Bobby Miller. this is also not including the expected eventual re-signing of Kershaw.
  5. It’s a real message by Nightendale. But He’s been know to stretch the truth/be wrong. Thought it was worth sharing regardless
  6. Yeah I just saw Passan tweet that said this they’re also abusing the system with all the deferred contracts and having Ohtani recruit other Japanese stars is like a cheat code.
  7. So the Dodgers win the World Series and then in the offseason accomplish the following : - Blake Snell - Michael Conforto - Re-signed Teoscar Hernandez - Re-signed Blake Treinen - Hyeseong Kim - Roki Sasaki - Tanner Scott - Re-signed Tommy Edman and the only thing they really lost was Walker Buehler and maybe Kike Hernandez?
  8. So the Dodgers now have essentially 5 ACE type pitchers, 3 MVPs in the lineup (along with other good players), just signed the best reliever in free agency and it sounds like guys like Kershaw want to re-sign just to sit on IL and pitch if injuries occur. This is really annoying to watch.
  9. If there was any doubt before the playoffs, I think it’s been proven that Jayden Daniels is the real deal.
  10. RIP. I absolutely loved him in the Major League movies.
  11. Wish him the best of luck. Very likable player and had an outstanding 2023. My only complaint is he came here at the end of his career as opposed to earlier and his dominance was short lived.
  12. Is Breslow only allowed to sign pitchers who’ve had major injuries? What is the deal with this? It’s almost comical at this point
  13. Rest in Peace Rickey. I unfortunately was too young to witness his prime and my only memories of him playing were early 2000s, but I’ve watched many documentaries and YouTube videos about him. He had a special kind of speed, talent, cockiness and swagger to the way he played. We truly lost a great player
  14. If this is a deal for depth purposes and they are still going after Burnes or another healthy pitcher who is good via FA or trade, I like this signing. If they’re signing ANOTHER guy coming off a major injury and expected him to make a big impact, I’m not a huge fan, at least for the 2025 season. The contract could be a bargain in 2026.
  15. I highly doubt Toronto would trade him in division. In division trades are rare, and when they involved a young star, they are almost non existent. Also, if they did trade for Vladdy, Casas would absolutely be sent to Toronto in the trade.
  16. I’m not betting on that happening, but we also have no reason to believe Fried will all of a sudden just suck 3 years into the deal. He’s been very good and consistent his entire career.
  17. And in 3 years Montgomery and Teel could be multi time all stars. I just worry about Crotchet’s 2nd half and liked Fried more due to his proven track record and no prospects attached.
  18. I would prefer if Criswell wasn’t an option to start at all. He should be nothing more than a depth piece, regardless of if Buehler is signed or not.
  19. Yeah but the difference is Crotchet costs prospects and is going to demand a lot of money. Fried just costs money. Fried is older, yes, but also a lot more proven.
  20. I’m assuming this means they’re out of the Corbin Burnes sweepstakes?
  21. I’m kinda 50/50 on this. I like getting Crotchet and like keeping Mayer. Anthony and Campbell. There was rumors that White Sox wouldn’t move him without getting Anthony and I was absolutely against that. The downside is we lose Teel at a position we’re extremely thin at, lose other prospects and still have a lot of question marks in the rotation and I would have much rather just paid Fried and kept prospects or attempted to do both. Crotchet is also going to demand a lot of money in an extension. We’ll see on this one
