  1. From ESPN.COM Hitting, Baserunning & Defense A patient hitter, Graffanino shows good strike-zone judgment and makes average contact. He has trouble with righthanded power pitchers. Still, Graffanino handles the bat well; he can bunt or be used on either end of a hit-and-run. Because he reads pitchers' moves well, Graffanino is a successful basestealer despite merely average speed. Although he lacks range to be a regular shortstop and his arm is mediocre for third base, he provides a steady glove anywhere around the infield.
  2. Hyzdu will probably be the RH option until Kapler is ready.
  3. Chip Ambers isn't a top prospect at all. He's one of those AAAA players.
  4. Graffanino is hitting .298/.377/.398 so far this year. Only 28 K's this year.
  5. Any thoughts on who to call up? I heard from someone at NECN that the Sox have traded for Tony Graffinano. No link yet.
  6. Did you read this on soxprospects? Just curious.
  7. Link? Or did you hear it on WEEI?
  8. File this one under Not Happening.
  9. I'm going off topic, but the Chiefs will win the Super Bowl this year. You heard it here first.
  10. If he learns some plate discipline, he may as well be the next Rod Carew. But if pitchers throw him more changeups he's toast until he learns on how to lay of on them.
  11. For now, I'm satisfied with one championship.
  12. Get rid of YANKEESRULE and his omg RED SUX LOL 26 to 6 LOL type post.
  13. No, I'm not saying that Fox loves the Yankees either, they don't like either team. I think they just root for a close game. These guys are pretty good at what they do, and as far as I'm concered, I've never had Joe Buck or Tim McCarver barge into the office I worked at and said I sucked, so I have nothing against these guys, and I'm hardly bothered of who's in the broadcast booth (unless it's John Madden)
  14. You can get rid of some Yankee fans, Yeszir, but don't get rid of this guy.
  15. I think you missunderstand what a grace period is. If the Red Sox were to go 0-162, you could be agitated, but you couldn't complain. I realized that no team can win 10 consecutive championships (unless your the Celtics) and if they win one, which is tough to do anyway, they deserve a grace period of two years or maybe one, depending on how demanding you are. Example: I am a huge Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan, though I can complain about how dumb Jon Gruden is, I wasn't bothered that we didn't win the Super Bowl these last two years. Now since that time is up, I expect this team to compete this year. BTW, Patriots fans should give their team a 6 year grace period, because of how dominant they have been, but they'll always compete as long as Brady, Bellicheck, and Pioli are at the head of the team. Most of the Red Sox fans who demand the team to win every year, basically sound like Yankee fans, and while I respect some Yankee fans (AROD2112 for one) I refuse to be catergorized into that sect of people. I'd rather sound like a patient person, then a OMG! TORRE U BLO, FRANCONO U BLO 2.
  16. Why the f*** does every baseball fan think those announcers are biased? BUCK AND MCCARVER ARE CARDINALS BROADCASTERS!!! When your team is losing, sure it seems like the annoucers are rooting against your team, but when their winning it feels different.
  17. Why isn't this team getting a grace period, or is it just me who gives it?
  18. No, he isn't nearly as talented as Cordero or Hansen, or even Huston Street. He'll be up about this time next year.
  19. Um, there's a rule about interference with the hands. So no he shouldn't have been called safe.
  20. Also, do you really think the Yankees with that dreadful pitching staff can win? Just ask yourselves that.
  21. Well let them bitch, I'm just saying that this team will turn it around.
  22. Please quit whining, this team will be fine, it's way too talented to play this way, and will have a big 2nd half like last year. Curt's finally pitching well, and the offense will turn it around. And remember, we won last year so that we should give the team a 2 year grace period. NO TEAM CAN WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP EVERY YEAR! Just remember that. But on the flip side this team will bounce back tommorow with Arroyo on the hill. These bats will wake up sooner rather then later, and when Hanley Ramirez comes up to play 2nd, he will give this team the energy OCab gave us last year.
  23. Only guy to actually realize this, though they didn't give that much up it is a bad deal. Though they could move Wilkerson to first until Johnson is back.
  24. Actually we took 4 in a row against you guys and it became a WS celebration.
  25. Bill Mueller would still be our 3rd basmen, Alex Rodriguez would be our SS.
