  1. MO'WNED! That's pretty damn funny
  2. We know that Giambi took steriods, but he's off the juice now. I mean, the NY press practically wakes him with him. If he was a Red Sox, I think the "YES" fans would be all over him, but the good fans would chalk it up to the fact that he's a good hitter.
  3. Jim Beattie and Mike Flangian should be skinned alive. They should have made their move 6 weeks ago, the Orioles are done, and they won't come back like the Yankees did.
  4. Still doesn't take away that Rivera is the greatest closer that has ever lived. And to think Stick Micheal wanted to trade him to the Tigers...
  5. I guess busting Guerrero inside works, if you can locate it. It's kinda like Giambi back when he was with the A's. He's greatest weakness is next to his greatest strength, and if you miss your spot inside, by just an inch, it would land into San Fransico. I don't think you can pitch Guerrero anywhere, he's just that good. When he's on, he can hit anything, and anywhere. So you can try busting him inside, but try it, and he'll kill the ball.
  6. I agree, the so called steriod users are washed up anyway. Well except for Giambi, but he's always had a good eye. As for Sosa, he's always been overrated. He's always a strikeout waiting to happen. He doesn't have near the plate discipline that Giambi has. Sosa's done, Giambi is not.
  7. Jason Giambi is NOT on steriods. Please it's pathetic to believe he is.
  8. Um, actually it's like this Schilling > Buerhle Wells = Garland Clement
  9. Eh, one loss. Let's just go win the series against the Devil Rays, while the Yankees fight the Twins.
  10. Wherever he's going it won't happen this week, it'll happen on July 31st.
  11. I don't know how to fix the Yankees so I'll just throw out some blueprints 1. Call up Sean Henn, and use him for mop up roles. That way you'd get his feet wet, and he could adjust to being in the big leagues. 2. Cut Buddy Groom, and trade for Seattle lefty Ron Villone. 3. Keep Bubba Crosby in CF, whatever he does offensively is a bonus. 4. Try to find a starter, maybe some like Mark Redman, if it doesn't cost the Yankees Duncan or Hughes, any other minor leaguers is expendable, (because Duncan and Hughes are the only prospects that have any talent at all) 5. Whenever Kevin Brown pitches, start Tony Womack at 2nd, DH Robinson Cano, and play Giambi at 1st. (Womack would help Brown, because he's much better defensively that Cano) Brown pitches for contact now, and needs some help.
  12. I'll bet he'll play some games at 3rd, then move to CF. Just to give him some experince at all postions.
  13. Hanley Ramirez is playing 3B today, I kid you not.
  14. Let's play Virtual GM for a moment, post your ideas, and your reasons why, on how to fix the Yankees. I'll do mine later tonight.
  15. Flaherty really doesn't have much clutch hits, 2-20 with 4 RBI's, but his defense probably would be a greater benifet. Gave me an idea for a thread (check in a few minutes)
  16. I've said that not all Yankee fans are like that, but I hear on WFAN the callers that want Posada benched, Torre fired, etc. etc. I know that you and ARod212, and some others are true Yankee fans, but the majority of the Yankee fans that enforce the Steinbrenner doctrine (1 loss is the start of a losing streak, 2 losses is a travesty, and so on) why would they want Torre to be fired? Nobody has answered that question yet.
  17. Lester, Alvarez, and maybe Naverson are the only legitmate prospects. The other ones could be good, but they have to have some good years first.
  18. I could understand if you had a replacement, like the Red Sox had for Mark Bellhorn. But who do you have to replace Bernie Williams? How can you rip into that old guard? It's like ripping Brett Favre if he were suddenly to lose his skills. You won 4 championships with those players, that's pretty damn good. The Yankees "dynasty" is over, just live with the struggles of Williams, Posada, and the other players. Enough of thi s stupid ass s*** like "WHY NO MO IN DA 3rd inning, OMG TORRE"
  19. Really? I don't think nyyfans is much better. When you have the host of a sportsradio shows, (Jon Dennis, Gerry Callahan, Dale Arnold, and Dale Holley) ripping the people who post there for sounding like maniacs, I don't think the intellegence of the board is all that great. Check out the Yesnetwork on last night's game thread, and you'll see what I'm talking about. Apparently, it's that what have you done for me lately mentality. Although, I don't agree with it, I understand where you're coming from. Thanks for your input, I still want to see what YankeesRule has to say about this, but it's a 3 game losing streak and he's gone.
  20. Great post, that's all I can say.
  21. Some don't, and I said that in my first post, but the majority of Yankee fans do. You seem one of the ones, you doesn't, and I commend you for that. I'm just curious to why (the ones who do) any one could critize the "old guard."
  22. Tex, brought up Sean Henn. It's a good option, it's better then Aaron Small and Al Leiter, but the bad thing about Henn though is that the Yankees won't have any patience with him. They need to learn growning pains, but their Yankee fans, and expect CG 0 H 0 BB's every time out.
  23. They don't have an answer to it. Cashman's problem?! That basically screams out, "I'm a little bitch who loves to question everyone" Thanks BTW.
  24. What's your username?
  25. Craig Hansen's deal becomes offical, any skeptics may now believe it. http://redsox.bostonherald.com/redSox/view.bg?articleid=95070
