  1. Pedoria would have and might in the near future when his wrist heals.
  2. Nope, you're wrong there. By all accounts, Dustin Pedoria will be the 2nd basemen next year or maybe Hanley Ramirez.
  3. I agree, but Kazmir can't dominate all game long, so if we can stay close until their bullpen gets in we'll be fine.
  4. He's a good pitcher, but I don't see the Padres giving him up, (is that where he's playing?)
  5. Mike Adams? That'd be cool if he came, he has a really good slurve ball he can throw to RH hitters.
  6. Hanley started at 2nd base again for Portland. C'mon if you want to play the blind man go walk with the shepard, but me my eyes are wide f***ing open (another Pulp Fiction reference) Something is going to happen with Bellhorn within 2 weeks I predict.
  7. There is talk on a Marlins board (someone with "sources" of course) of a three-way going down with San Diego and Boston that is only waiting on Theo to flip Millar to Houston for Qualls, which has been floating for a week now, to finalize it. Burnett and Lowell would come to Boston......Arroyo and Shoppach to San Diego.....Abe Alvarez to Florida along with Sean Burroughs.
  8. Actually I found some more sources. I'm not going to quote it (too lazy) so i'll post it. ESPN Radio doing the game just said there are rumors flying that the Sox have made a deal, but they can't confirm and will not say what it is. Dave Campbell then said: "There is also a rumor spreading like wildfire here at Fenway Park about the Sox making a deal. We have no confirmation, so we will not report it." From Royal Rooters: An inside source at marlinsbaseball.com, fwiw, is also saying that the Sox agreed to a deal with the Marlins today but there will be no announcement today
  9. Not a good enough source.
  10. If Hanley were the next "Manny" he'd be the number one prospect in all of baseball. Hanley doesn't have anywhere close to the power Manny Ramriez does, but he is a terrific athelte and has world class speed.
  11. I'm sorry but his track record indicates that Pedoria won't strikeout that much. Hey, it worked for the Yankees, why don't we give it a shot?
  12. BIG HITS?!!!!!!!!! Other than a HR in Game 4, he had ZERO big hits. If slappin' balls is clutch, then yes A-Rod is clutch. He will also find he is in the company of Richard Simmons. A clutch player is a player you'd want up at bat in the 9th inning with your team down a run, and you need that guy to drive the guy in, or he is a guy you want with a minute left in the game in football or basketball. Robert Horry is clutch, John Elway is clutch, Derek Jeter is clutch, A-Rod however IS NOT CLUTCH.
  13. If A-Rod has a big hit in October I will annoit him as clutch, but until then I won't. In big spots in game 6, he had to karate chop the ball to get on base. HE IS NOT CLUTCH!
  14. Hanley won't play SS in a Red Sox uniform until '09, because I don't see anyone taking Renteria right now, nor do I see the Red Sox making any trade with Renteria involved. The thing I'm saying is why on earth would Hanley be playing 2B?
  15. WINNING A GAME IN THE MIDDLE OF JULY DOESN'T MAKE YOU A CLUTCH HITTER YOU f***ING MORON!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We can say Schilling is clutch because he's done it in big games before, THAT DEFINES CLUTCH. A big game is a playoff game or a game late in the regular season. But lets use your terms, if Michael Jordan has a 15 pt playoff game he's no longer clutch, because the past doesn't matter? If Robert Horry misses a three in next years NBA finals, he no longer is a big game 3 pt shooter. But if A-Rod gets a HR off a hurt 60% Schilling that makes him clutch. I see your logic.
  16. I don't believe Hanley has started one game at 2B, the surprising thing about that, Also Theo Epstien was quoted on WEEI after Pedoria was promoted that Hanley Ramriez would be promoted over Dustin Pedoria if an injury were to happen to Edgar Renteria.
  17. Yeah I think we will see Pedoria soon, but isn't a little odd that Hanley Ramriez is playing 2B when his natural postion is SS?
  18. Could it be that Hanley Ramriez could get the jump instead of Dustin Pedoria? Ramirez is on the 40 man roster and wouldn't require someone getting bumped off in case of a promotion.
  19. A .330 OBP is pathetic when you strike out 100 times. Usually people who strike out that much hit a lot more HR's and walk more. Look at Adam Dunn and Jim Thome for example.
  20. Game 2 of the WS? Game 6 of the ALCS? Game 2 of the 2001 WS? Game 6 of the 2001 WS? These games are pressure games, not some game in the middle of July. Chances are that game will be cancelled out when the teams split. Oh and by the way, your a f***ing idiot.
  21. Really? With Tim Redding, Al Leiter, and Kevin Brown in your rotation?
  22. Wow, I can't believe someone can be that dumb.
  23. Yep, I got my question answered again. Mark Bellhorn: Will I still be the starting 2nd basemen for the Red Sox in August? Jerry Crasnick: (12:36 PM ET ) Mark, Geez, you're really getting hammered in Boston (although I think the bullpen is a much bigger problem than second base). Alex Cora is an option, but his numbers this year are worse than yours. Calling up Dustin Pedroia from Triple A is another alternative. The Yankees brought up Robinson Cano, and it's worked out pretty well for them.
  24. Good news, according to WEEI, Gabe is in Ft. Myers working out. He will probably be signed to a minor league deal.
  25. Lowrie is 2-13 in his first 4 games for Lowell.
