You might want to add paragraphs, and commas so I can respond to that.
What the f***? "Records mean nothing when a team is hitting" So if the Royals hit .500 the next 3 days it doesn't matter that their 28.5 games out?
Your lineup still isn't unstoppable, now that Giambi has pressure on him again, will he rise to the occasion or fade away, I really don't know. But Giambi is a good guy to have in your lineup because he gets on base. Cano is overrated with his .315 OBP, and Caberra is unproven.
Wang is sick? He can't strike anyone out, and Wright will hurt your team more then he'll help it.
I don't see what player your going to get, you have no prospects, and the ones you have are already in the bigs, and won't be traded.
The Yankees did this before, but can they sustain it? Momentum is as only good as your next day's starting pitcher, in this case unless your rotation looks like Johnson, Moose, Johnson, Moose, your current rotation won't carry you far.
As for the Red Sox running away with it, if Foulke were merely bad, the Sox would be 7 games up. We'll get there when Mr. Schilling gets in the closers role, and I think we fixed our clubhouse problem Damon backed off his comments, and Payton is gone.
Just think about it, the Sox are in first place with no ace, and no closer, shouldn't we be making excuses instead of the Yankees? If you couldn't catch us without Schilling, and without a bullpen, what makes you think you will now? Bradford is on the way from Oakland, Schilling is headed to be a the closer. (and for those who think starters can't be closers does John Smoltz ring a bell?) Let's just play worst case scernerio if Schilling can't do it, Timlin can and that should put the Red Sox way ahead in the division.
Our bullpen will be sick in August, with Schilling at closer, Foulke in setup (he's been good in non save situations) along with Timlin, Bradford, Myers, Papelbon, and Declarman it won't be much of a contest.
