  1. Well that's IF the Guardians fall out of the race, and I don't think they will. But to guess, they'd probably want 2 prospects in return. I'm guessing they'd want Dustin Pedoria or Hanley Ramriez to be their 2nd basemen of the future (our maybe even Kevin Youkilis to play 3rd) and one of the big three (that's right I'm annoting Sanchez, Papelbon, and Lester as the big three) Too much to give up for a 2 month rental. Keep Schilling where he is 'till Foulke is back, then make the switch and send Arroyo to the pen. That's basically adding another effective RH reliever. If the Twins want to send us Romero for Mueller, I'd do it.
  2. Can anyone go on the YES Network? If so, ask them who else is going to pitch for Kevin Brown?
  3. It always winds up in Torre's lap, despite their rotation looking like: Johnson, Moose, Small, Leiter, and Brown. They always seem to blame Torre for the bullpen use (see first post for one reference) they want to see Gordon in the 6th, and just because Rodriguez has a good 8th, they are quick to annoit him F-Rod. (Yet they say that the "Rod" part can only be used for stars, and that Michael Kay secretly is rooting for the Angels, because he calls Frankie Rodriguez, K-Rod) The YES network is what Yankee nation really looks like, it's quite sad.
  4. The Moose will come up big tommorow, allowing the Yankee fans to be like, YEA WE BAK TAKE DAT RED SUX. However the jubaliation will only last a day, as Aaron Small pitches the day after that, so it goes back to, Y NO RIVERA IN da 3rd OMG U BLO TORRE.
  5. I just can't see how you could critize Bernie Williams, it's like ripping David Ortiz.
  6. They can't say it's just little kids saying that. You got Mike & the Mad Dog wanting Torre gone, and every caller in New York wants him fired too. The Yankees are in year 3 of their 6 year grace period.
  7. I got some questions for some Yankee fans on this site, now this only is for the people who post on the YES network, or have critized the Yankees badly this year. (Red Sox fans may comment on this as well) 1. How could you ever question, or insult Joe Torre? I've seen at least 10,000 different threads on how bad Joe Torre is as a manager, ranging from, "Why no Tanyon" (when he had thrown 45 pitches the previous night, to "How could Torre use Groom against two righties" (When they were switch hitters, who can't hit lefties) The fact of matter is, Joe Torre won you guys 3 championships in a row, he is probably one of the greatest managers of all time. How could you ever critize that kind of greatness? 2. After Alex Rodriguez hit an RBI single tonight, and he was picked off, Yankee fans proceeded to call A-Rod a fag, a bitch, and OMG A-Fraud u blo!. My question is why? The mother f***er got you a run, and not to mention the fact he's hitting .319 with 27 bombs. If you critize Bubba Crosby, or Kevin Brown that's understandable, but why someone who's producing? 3. Lastly, how could any Yankee fan critize, Derek Jeter (some have), Bernie Williams (a lot have), or Jorge Posada (every single one of you have)? These guys aren't your problems, your team just isn't that good. They have ZERO starting pitching, and outside of Rivera and Gordon, they have no bullpen. Maybe you should start asking questions to the man who was really behind all of this, but the man you seem to want to have multiple orgies with. Start blaming Steinbrenner. I think it's kinda pathetic, when a guys like Torre are blamed for things when it isn't his fault, it just proves how pathetic most Yankee fans are.
  8. I'd trade Arroyo, he's never going to be dominant, he's a decent starter who'll post a 3.80-4.20 ERA each year. Burnett on the other hand has the chance to be a 2.50-3.00 with that stuff.
  9. No, he wasn't, he was probably poking fun at Missin Caberra or Gabeluver.
  10. Jed Lowrie was a sandwich pick, he plays 2B, and one scout told Peter Gammons that he'd compare him to Adam Kennedy plus a 3rd. Lowrie homered again tonight, his 2nd.
  11. No, just look around at the previous post on Kapler, and Hanley Ramirez. What the f***?! Hanley Ramriez?!
  12. aww, u shy, i get it, i asked gabby out 1nce, and he blushed lol
  13. Gabe Kapler is in Pawtucket tonight leading off, and since most you girls will love to see Kapler back in Boston, you will be happy to know that Kapler has launched his first HR. Kapler is currently 2-2 with a HR and 3 RBI's as Pawtucket leads Ottawa 6-0 in the 3rd.
  14. If we get Burnett to a contract extention, then it will be ok.
  15. SOSH has a link over there, which says he has signed, and also WEEI is rumoring that he has signed as well. There is a guy on the red sox espn message board, who is Craig Hansen's brother (I didn't believe it at first, but after seeing this photo I believe it) http://img157.imageshack.us/my.php?image=p72300017ti.jpg There's the photo of Craig in the center, flanked on the left by Boras.
  16. 9th: Timlin 8th: Arroyo 7th: Bradford and Myers But yes I do expect a trade.
  17. Two Words. Mike Timlin
  18. This was a pretty damn good response to that first post (Bringing this old thread up, cause of the Best/Worst thread post)
  19. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2114965 They replace Nevin, with Randa.
  20. Our best Red Sox prospect team would probably look like this C: Shoppach 25, PAW 1B: Jonathan Egan 18, GCL 2B: Dustin Pedoria 21, PAW SS: Hanley Ramriez 21, POR 3B: Kevin Youkilis 26, PAW LF: Luis Soto 19, LOW CF: Jacoby Ellsbury 21, LOW RF: Brandon Moss 22, POR DH: Jed Lowrie 21, LOW Pitching Staff 1. Jon Papelbon 24, PAW 2. Jon Lester 21, POR 3. Anibal Sanchez 21, POR 4. Michael Bowden 18, GCL 5. David Pauley 22, POR RP: Manny Delcarmen 23, PAW RP: Abe Alvarez 21, PAW RP: Cla Merdith 22, PAW RP: Randy Beam 22, POR RP: Edgar Martinez 23, POR (I like this kid he's a converted catcher, in his first year of pitching, done well so far) CL: Craig Hansen 21 I don't think that all of these guys will be good, but we do have a pretty good foundation for later sucess.
  21. Just flip the closer and setup man, becasue that's probably where Hansen will be. Though I have heard he might be a starter.
  22. Melky Caberra has only below average speed? http://yankees.scout.com/2/223111.html He's not a track star, but he is pretty fast.
  23. Yeah, 11 strikeouts! He was sitting on 94 mph all night, I heard.
  24. I rated Lester higher then Sanchez, because he throws 4 plus pitches (fastball, slider, curve, and a changeup) also the fact that he is lefthanded and throws 95+. Sanchez will be a very good pitcher some day as well. Can you imagine if all 3 if these guys reach their potential? That would be some staff.
