They aren’t going to catch the Yankees for the top WC position, so the absolute best thing to have happen the rest of the season would be to drop to the 3rd WC spot.  Hold onto #2 and you get a return triP to the Bronx and if they somehow survive that, they play the Rays. Get the 3rd slot and you play either Houston or Texas followed by the White Sox. I know which path I’d prefer.
