Cheng is already better than Mayer.

Needs to adjust his swing to avoid dead center or he would have had 2 HRs

Good thing they lost 2 of 3 to Rockies otherwise Craig B. would be saying, See, I told you we are on a roll now!

Making the Yankems look like crap the last two nights is simply delightful.

Mickey is a swell fellow and , darn it, people like him.

Amazing how a player can beat MLB over a relativeky short period but will bite your low talent butt given enough repetitions

MLB is merciless when it comes to learning curves.

The Sox now have a plus run differential.

BFD, only took them 79 games to get back to the plus size, STILL 12 games below 500 and headed for 92 big L's, thank god for pre season football

It wasn't meant as a BFD. It was meant how a team that's 12 games under.500 could possibly have a plus run differential.

Don't you find that intriguing?

5-12 in one-run games.  7-14 in 2-run games.

It’s actually quite bizarre…

Hey Old Red, it's only f'ing baseball. Don't get a stroke. Now please go to your door and yell at the kids to get off your lawn.

He doesn’t want anyone being evenly remotely optimistic about this team..

Yes it’s always nice beating the Yankees, but in the all important W-L all these last two wins did was offset the two embarrassing losses to Colorado.🤫

I don’t think not getting intrigued on a f’ing baseball stat is going to cause a stroke. On the other hand being upset that it doesn’t may.😉

I like the young starting pitchers.  While the Yankees are a few stars down, Early and Tolle have pitched well.  Great to see a little more offense today.

And THAT is what happens when you ignore the bullpen…

While true, our pen has about the same fWAR rank than our rotation.

SP 9th

RP 10th

Unreal that we are now +1 run diff. It sure doesnt feel that way.

Only 4 AL teams are better.

The A's and Astros are 7th and 8th by record and are -54 and -46!

I have an interesting stat, but no idea what it means.

The RS have the 3rd best BP ERA with a 3.25, but the BP record is 6-17.  The #2 and #4 teams are SD and NYY, with records of 20-12 and 19-10.  I'm curious how our BP ERA could be that good, but our record that bad.

Some nice contributions by Bennett as well.  A 3.71 overall, and a 14/0 K/W in his last two starts.

First, our pen is not overused. We are 20th in RP IP, mainly due to our strong rotation. IP pads fWAR, but we are still 10th in fWAR at 2.6.

We have the second best RP ERA- at an astounding 74.

We are 5th in WHIP (0.01 from 4th and 0.03 from 2nd.)

We are 7th in xFIP at 93 (01 from 5rg and -2 from 3rd)

We are 7th in K%-BB% at 15%. (10th in K% and 3rd best BB%)

Our LOB% is 2nd at 78%, so we've done well, there.

It's hard to say the pen has killed us, but we do have 8 blown saves out of 24 chances. (Chapman is 15 of 16)
