Bello pitches 6 innings tonight.  Don’t care how many pitches he throws.  Then, he gets sent to Portland, and I’d even consider sending him to Greenville (High A).  A message needs to be sent both to him and everyone else.

Seems like extending Bello was a bad idea. The same goes to Anthony and Campbell.

He's dialed back his sweeper usage and increased his cutter and sinker. The sinker used to be his best pitch, but it looks like he's leaving it up and it's getting rocked. Lots of hard contact. Velo seems down across the board too.

I haven't given up on Anthony yet. He does seem to be injury prone, which actually makes him a perfect Sox.

I’m a little behind on the broadcast and catching up, but I’m wondering if after that walk Bello looked at the pen (where no one is warming up). Cora saw that and I want to think Alex told him you’re eating this one tonight, so figure something out.

If I’m another GM, I’d take Bello but I’m not giving up more than a kid in A ball and the Sox are going to eat every bit of salary beyond the MLB minimum.

I believe at this point Breslow would accept an autographed baseball for Bello and the Sox would still have to munch on his salary.
