I'm annoyed at Hudson for pointing at 3B  to a fast runner who of course  was not going 100% either. It's right in your vision that there is no one covering 3B.

The 3rd baseman is not even in the frame. Easily 15 feet away.  Ideal play round as far as 3b is away from bag. Absolutely no play on him at 3B.

The only play was at 1B and I think toshida beats it out with a good throw anyway.

The bad catch on Rice's part you can anticipate it with one of your fastest runners rounding 3B. If Rice would have just caught the ball like a short hop grounder and given up the force play this is a non issue. However, IMO Rice is not an inexperienced defender and let's anticipate that it may be a bad throw since he is rushing to get the third out.

Of course, can we not go back to why is rafaela bunting with our two fastest runners on 1st and 2nd with no outs and a brand new pitcher in the game and fresh off of some good ABs? Basically, we played that inning with only 2 outs since we gifted them 1 out.

Just my opinion, but I think the Sox were massive underdogs before the series started.  The Yankees were red hot and have the best lineup in MLB and three good starters.  The Sox lineup is decimated and started the series with one good starter, Crochet.  Giolito was out and Bello might as well have been.

But they won  a tight game Tuesday night thanks to Crochet's terrific start, Chapman's precarious save, and a huge single by Yoshida. And they darn near won last night's game but for Duran's dumping that line drive (which came nowhere near the center of his glove) and the to me understandable failure of Eaton to score from 2b on an infield single.

Both starters tonight are young, but Schlittler has 14 starts to Early's 4.

Despite all of the above, can there be any doubt that the Sox still have a shot at winning thanks to their pitching and a few timely hits?

How is the Red Sox lineup decimated?

Duran is killing this team man.

Cora spending all the bullets in the bullpen  last night is what will kill this team.  Managed like there was no tomorrow yesterday and we will pay for it tonight

I don’t think this Yankees team is anything great. The Sox jusy havent had timely hitting.

They don’t have the talent-this year. If they play their cards right they have a chance to be a very good team next year.

Bregman certainly has the

potential to help win this game   but potential refers to an attribute that hasn't materialized yet.

To the point. there is no way he is a $40 million player next year.  Spend $20 million each on starting pitching

I will go with the balsa wood bats costing the game, pitching will be acceptable

He cannot turn on a FB.  No real interest in him going to 2026

No way he’s even a thought for 2026. Dude is washed.  He was DFAd by the Nationals.  Toro was a better option

Sox have a shot at getting to the bullpen early if they can work counts

Narvaez didn’t get the memo. Hacking on a 2-0 pitch

My first and only thought that inning was could Masa be the smallest clean-up hitter in recent MLB history.

Yogi Berra was little. 5'7
