Jasonbay44 Community Moderator Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 Why is May still in? Waiving the white flag?
SPLENDIDSPLINTER Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 The Sox offense can make a Charlie Chaplin movie seem loud.

Jasonbay44 Community Moderator Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 Another s*** performance from May. I still can’t believe they traded actual prospects for this bum DFA fodder

The hitting stinks, and the bullpen has been worked hard because of no off days recently. Are you unaware Cora had to use 5 relievers last night?

We do have a few names on our roster that are such glaring holes that it's easy to wonder why they are here, and even more so, why are they playing so much,

Two of them threw 7 pitches or less and one is Jordan Hicks.

SPLENDIDSPLINTER Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 I believe the shock of being 15 games over .500 has caught up to the Sox players. CanadianRedSoxFan 1

Jasonbay44 Community Moderator Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 May can’t even do good against the worst offense in MLB. Absolutely garbage CanadianRedSoxFan and Duran Is The Man 2
Jasonbay44 Community Moderator Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 Leaving Dustin May in that long was a clear sign they don’t want to win this game.
iortiz Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 Hopefully this serves to prove for once and for all May is not a starter. He could be a decent RP though.

SPLENDIDSPLINTER Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 My bad. I did ask for a double digit run game. But I'm pretty sure I was referring to the Sox. The baseball gods must have misunderstood.

Weissert killed us last night but he was the right guy to send out. And, oh, by the way, the Sox scored 2 stinking runs, one of them unearned. Today they also have 2 runs,.

He's not yet the worst we tried: 8.04 Houck 9 GS (1.695 WHIP) 5.40 Buehler 22 (1.564) 5.01 May 5 (1.550 before today- other numbers count today) 4.83 Fitts 10 (1.317) 4.43 Newcomb 5 (1.925 WHIP) That's 51 GS, and some say our bats are our weakest area.

Theres no way he’s waving the white flag with a 4-2 Deficit in the 6th at home against the Pirates. He left him in too long. I’ve watched May 5 times now and he cannot handle adversity. He melts out there almost instantly. Cora has to have a plan going into a May start. He’s not nor has he been reliable. Dodgers would have given up May for a root canal he was that bad
