This was a really entertaining game!!  Fun to watch

It was entertaining, but the Sox made too many mistakes. They were very lucky to win this one.

When?  Wasn't Hamilton the guy nailed on an attempted steal?

So what? He still can run.

If Rafaela can be more consistent throughout a season, he’s going to be something special.  In order to do that he has to keep learning discipline at plate.

Bello has been awesome

So has been Giolito. Our top 3 can compete against anybody, but then you have 2 big black holes. If they had gotten Ryan, would have put the Sox as true contenders to win it all this year hands down. My guess they are going to push hard for him next offseason.

It’s not ended. Almost.

I shoulda said half inning. Glad I didn't jinx it.

Too bad someone didn't teach Rafaela to have more discipline and lay off that pitch, right?

LOL

I agree. No one expects The Ceddanne Rafaela.

If he could just have more discipline. It's the only way one can ever improve.

BTW Os had been improving a lot in recent weeks before this series. In fact this series hasn’t been easy at all!!! Pitching is carrying this team.

O's will be a contender next season. The AL East will be even tougher next season.

I'm almost certain the Sox will sign a top shelf starter this off-season. And hopefully re-sign both Gio and Chapman.

And if Tolle is as good as advertised, they will have one helluva  starting staff.

Well, I personally went completely ape because of the defense and lack of hitting.  I envy you.

Good golly, miss Molly.  That sounds really good--keeping Gio and Chapman, moving Tolle up, and signing a good starter from somewhere.

Dude, can’t you just take the good the bad and the ugly and just enjoy the win?????

do we care that it was not perfect????
where is the fun and excitement of watching perfection ?????

Any win is a good win, and exciting wins are fun to watch in my book!!!!

Jays came back and beat the Twinkies.

With 3 runs in the 8th they went ahead 9-8 and kept it.

If Crochet wins tomorrow--and after tonight I have  my doubts about the hitting--this will have been one of the best road trips I can remember.

Don't get me wrong.  I'm ecstatic about the win--one of the best this season.  But getting there was painful. The lineup couldn't hit or play defense.  Funny thing that the two guys who failed to catch that fly in left center that gave the Orioles their 2d run are the same 2 guys who singled and hit the homer to win the game in the 9th..   From the outhouse to the penthouse in just 2 swings.

Not sure that was luck.  First and foremost the Sox pitching was fantastic.  The first Orioles run was unearned because of Wong's passed ball and their second was on a fly ball Duran or Rafaela could easily have caught.  All three Sox runs were earned and came from  dingers.

I do not in any way want to make light of the Sox errors, which infuriated me.  But I love that Bello battled through them.

I think we trade for a SP'er. FA SP'ers are too expensive.

We'll trade for Ryan and bring back Bregman & Chapman. I'm not sure about Gio. He's gonna want big bucks.
