How could Murphy not be ready for 2 consecutive innings ?   Serving deep dish meatball pizza to some real hitters.

Yeah this team is fools gold. I expect a swoon here.

Unless Crochet gets the win tomorrow, you may be looking at the summer swoon.  The fact that they are lifeless at the bat is very strange

Fitting that Ryan Brasier shuts off the 9th inning to complete the shutout.

All on Crochet for tomorrow, because he will be lucky to get the 1 run needed to win.

If the Sox don't make the PO's this season, Cora, the faux genius, should not be the manager next season.

Agreed.

Cora is indefensible as a manager

I'd be playing Mayer vs LHPs, but I guess Cora has his reasons. (We could have played Romy at 1B and Mayer at 2B. Toto is slumping, badly.)

Tonight's line-up:

1. R Refsnyder LF (Lefty killer.)

2. R Bregman 3B (Gotts be the man!)

3. R Romy 2B (I like him 3rd v L)

4. L Anthony RF (Coming into his own.)

5. R Story SS (Stay hot, my man!)

6. R Rafaela CF (Movin' on up...)

7. L Yoshida DH (Coulda put Romy or Ref here, too)

8. S Toro 1B (not only slumping but 165 pts worse vs L)

9. R Wong C (Bello's binky)

Shows what you know, Clown!!!

Toro and Yoshida had most of the hits!!!

Why did Murphy took another inning? What happened with Cora’s LvsR obsessiveness?

Would it have mattered?  0 runs is not a winning number.

If Crochet pitches a SO tomorrow, there's still a good chance of extra innings.

Right again!

I knew the game was over after the first pitch; I knew it would be a blowout; and I knew these bums wouldn’t even get a single run.

I saw this game yesterday.

Next season? He should be fired immediately.

So it seems the  superstition that the A-S break will suck the life out of a hot team is correct after all.

And it seems to be up and down the lineup and bench.  Yoshida's 2 hits look good in the box score but he couldn't also PH when men were on base.

Happens nearly every year.

The FLOPS are toast.

Vegas, this is the 4th straight season the Sox were over .500 before the ASB. Which probably means they'll end up mediocre again. Let's see what the TDL brings.

Except for the 5 everyday players I posted earlier, IMHO, all other everyday players are tradable.

I guess no team is good, because no team really hits him well. He has a career 2.83 ERA…

Fred’s a little weak on being able to tell the difference between throwing and pitching.  Imanaga knows how to pitch and he was putting the ball where he wanted it most of the night.  Tip of the hat to him; he was excellent tonight.

I also recall that a certain Sox closer threw no harder than the upper 80s; all he did was help to win a World Series.

Maybe the Sox should send their pitching draft choices to Japan where they will learn to pitch and not just throw.

I made three predictions about the outcome and every one of them turned out true. I know this team very very well. I’m rarely wrong. Admit it
