Hopefully, the Red Sox win the first half of this faux double header to take pressure of this one. They could get back to .500 by the end of the night if things go their way.

Can Fitts come back? He only threw 38 pitches? (never mind, probably not)

Bello only threw 62 pitches......yeah, I'm stupid.

Bernardino is the Opener. He appeared 16 times in May, giving up 1 run. In 15 outings, he was unblemished. 6 hits in 12+ innings.

In June, he had a whip of 3.00, not great.

He maybe someone that should go on a IL just to rest up. Otherwise, Cora will over use him like he did last year. He'll end up sucking.

Criswell is our 27th man, he'll follow Bernardino. To think he started 18 games for us last year.

In 2024, innings pitched.

183.2 Kutter, 178.2 Houck, 162.1 Bello, 145.2 Pivetta, 99.1 Criswell, 76 Winckowski.

Unbelievable turnover in our staff.

Really a big game tonight, going for sweep. We then follow up with 6 games vs the Nationals and the Rockies, got to go at least 4-2 if not 5-1 in those 6 games.

We finish out by playing 4 at home versus the Rays.

Critical 11 games beginning tonight. Can't go 5-6/6-5. We have chance to get over the .500 mark.

At least we don't have DHam & Wong going in the same line-up.

Wong goes, tonight. Abreu at DH & Anthony in RF. Mayer at 2B with Toro at 3B and Romy at 1B vs the RHP.

7-4 may not be good enough, as one of the hardest schedules one can imagine follows the AS Break: (not in order)

LAD, PHI, HOU x 2 series, CHC, SDP

The "easiest" two teams we face from July 18 to AUG 13th are 3 at MIN and 3 vs KCR.

Brutal 24 games.

Be nice to get Bregman back and get a reliable starter, maybe the brass thinks it's too expensive for a rental.

When Bergman comes back, maybe Cora starts to solidify the lineup a bit more

It would help to get strike calls on those two really good pitches (ok, pitch 1, good as it was, was likely inside).  But since umpires are judged by how well their calls conform to robocalls, JUST USE THE ROBOTS.

An error by your most recent 1Bman, now playing 3B, followed by a walk , followed by a GrandSlam.  Weissert turns a 3-0 lead into a 4-3 deficit, throwing 20 pitches before recording an out.

A BP game is a crapshoot and someone just shot the sheriff

Why would Gonzalez try for 3 on a ball in front of him to LF ?   That is as much an error as a botched ground ball.

Yeah just take a win. Stop at 2B for a double. We are so wreckless.

The worst part is he stood at home watching his hit for a full second. He could have been safe at 3rd.

So many blunders and yet the same manager.

Also, the same manger that got 6 scoreless innings from Bernardino, Alcara & Murphy.

I guess Cora was supposed be out there with a whip in hand.

That is as numb a baserunning play as you could possibly see.  Pathetic mistake.
