Red Sox (Giolito) vs Braves (Holmes): 5/30/25, 7:15pm

Not that bad news is needed, but everyone in the Braves' lineup historically crushes Giolito, especially Matt Olson (10 at-bats, 2.500 OPS). Just gotta hope he's due for a good one...

Holmes pitched well last time against the BoSox. The bullpen really let him down. Really gross hair though. He was part of trade for Sox legends Rich Hill and Josh Reddick. You know that hair is going to look extra nasty in humid ATL. This may be a radio broadcast only for me.

Maybe it's good for our offense that all 3 starters for Braves are right handed pitchers.

Except Crochet. The Sox wouldn't hit him, but it won't matter since they never get him any runs anyway. But it'd be better for Crochet if when he faced the Whiff Sox, any other defense was playing behind him.

I don't have Apple+ and won't be able to watch the game.  Typically, this really ticks me off, but at the moment, I'm okay with being unable to watch.  I don't need this kind of stress in my life.  LOL

That said, this really feels like a reverse mojo kind of game.

Truth be told, I would watch the game if I had access to it.  But it does say a lot that I'm not really upset about not being able to watch it.

The Braves did split a DH yesterday , so their BP may be dragging a little.  Ours  is after another tough day off, but travelling .

Liam Hendriks to the 15 day IL with hip inflammation.    Burdi back up.

That should give enough time to see if Burdi can be effective , and to consider Hendriks longer term run this season.   15 days should give the FO time to see if any team wants to take a chance on Liam , prior to a DFA consideration in mid June .

Another exciting top of 1st from the programmatic Red Sox.   Pop out, bloop hit, walk, 2 on 1 out, followed by 2 bad K's chasing.  

These dudes are nothing if not predictable

Abreu throws out Acuna at home by 6' or more, Narvaez cannot handle the bounce and  and the run is good.

The errors/mistakes are so fundamental that there really can be no excuse for this team's constant hole digging errors. 

Now Giolito  is over 25 pitches, down a run, 2 on, with one out.  Great F'ing start to the next loss
