Maybe the Sox can trade him for Teel.

During the offseason, the Red Sox reportedly would not trade Triston Casas for Seattle righthander Luis Castillo, who has an ERA of 2.12 and an ERA+ of 170 in three starts this year.

Casas may still turn it around.

Breslow better get to serious work on catcher, regardless of when Wong may be right.   Sabol is truely useless including at bat

awesome inning guys

In all fairness Newcomb is the least of our problems. This inning should be over 10 minutes ago.

4 of those runs were unearned and he still has a 5 ERA. It’s the White Sox. He just sucks

I think that should've been done. Devers could have played first which would have solved the Yoshida conundrum.

He will likely be out of the rotation when one of our other healthy pitchers come back.

Devers may still play 1st after Casas is traded.

Interesting. I was watching the Netflix series last night and Casas said he lived in a hotel because he didn’t feel in a position to make a large commitment in some place. He said that he even won’t be surprised if he is sent down to AAA at some point again. Watching him speak, he looks like a young man who lacks of self-confidence. I don’t know what’s going to happen to him but everything smells and stinks Dalbec 2.0. all over again to me.

Sloppy play is contagious. Now Rafaela fails to make a play.

Winckowski is a hack pitcher too.

Clubhouse shows AC to be very much a players manager , which is good when your guys show some maturity, even the youngsters   This team supposedly made a commitment to better defense.  It is nowhere in sight.

Oh yeah he sucks but in this game he was a victim of Boston’s awful defense. This should be a close game right now.

That I agree with. It’s been a group effort of s***

Losing to the White Sox 7-0 (and counting) should be a national embarrassment. This WS team is the worst team I ever seen and I’ve seen very bad teams in my life.

Btw another pop-up by Casas.

I'm voting Meidroth for the A-S team when ballots come out..   They guy has offense, defense and baseball smarts .     Yeah, we got Crochet ,   but at a terrible price, only outdone by the Mookie deal.

I certainly hope the highlight of the year doesn't turn out to be the Cardinal series.

As has been said multiple times in recent seasons on this board, the real problem is that this team is just not interesting to watch.    OK, Crochet seems worthy of watching,  Bregman, Yoshida ( if here) and Story are mid to late career mid level players, the  non-pure rookies ( Casas, Duran , Wong , Rafaela) are not showing further improvement, the true rookie ( Campbell )  needs time to see where he can develop .   They guys still at AAA ( Mayer, Anthony)  are still awaiting a chance.     We want Abreu to be a star but is he really Trot Nixon ?

This has to be driving the FO & AC crazy.

Davis Martin, with a 1.50 WHIP just put a 6 inning shutout on them .   The Sox, themselves look disinterested.   Top it off with old friend Cam Booser coming in to continue the beating.  Red Sox may get to him in one of their patented late innings almost enough rallies

I for one would be fine if Abreu turned out to be a Trot Nixon.  I recall years ago saying I hoped JBJ could be a Rick Miller.  He exceeded him in the field but at the plate …

I’d consider sending him down farther than that. The guy thinks too much and is a total head case.  Perhaps a month in Salem might be good for him.
