Twins fan here. I had a good time last night watching the game with SplendidSplinter, and I'm up for another one today in the game thread if others want to join in the conversation.  Weird game last night, but that's baseball and today's game will no doubt have a different rhythm.

Here's today's line-up sponsored by Kellogg's Special K.

Duran

Romy

Masa

Story

Casas

Grissom

Abreu

Jansen

Rafaela

Don't be concerned that Story's batting 4th. I doubt there will be anything to clean-up.

Looks like it is farewell to Raffy Devers , finally capitulated to his injured shoulders . See you in ST

Also farewell to Rob Refsnyder who contributed a season valued beyond his low cost.  A professional ballplayer in all aspects .  Will he come back for 1 more. let Rob and family think about it.   If he doesn't that is one more RH bat that Brez neeeds to find.   Hope Ref returns.

Today's question:

Which SOX batter(s) do you think will earn a Golden Sombrero today?

Winner(s) will receive 2 tickets to the next Milli Vanilli concert.

Before posting your answer, keep in mind there's a good chance half this line-up won't even get 4 at bats.

Too many candidates , especially with Raffy out and O'Neill not in the lineup.

But my vote goes to the Ironman --Vaughn Grissom , a player whose mere presence is a rare achievement.

I, also, hope REF returns for next season.

Actually, if Devers and O'Neill were in today's line-up, it would have made the question easier.

So what are you saying? You believe obtaining Grissom and eating 17 mil was a bad trade?

I mean Sale's not exactly blowing the minds of Atlanta fans. What's that? Ah, nevermind.

JH has ordered Breslow to go after players during the offseason with a history of injuries because they're less expensive.

Maybe Trout would be that much needed RH bat the SOX are looking for.

You get a shiver in the dark, it's raining in the park, but meantime
South of the river, you stop and you hold everything
Two teams are blowing ballgames, nearly every time, but
You'll feel alright when you hear Sweet Caroline ring.

A story of two struggling teams on a rainy day, and Fenway's a short walk from the Charles, LOL.

Oh, and I just ran across this:

He'll find that the Twins FO is busy bidding up all the same players.  Lose-lose in the free (agent) market.

Eating Grissom and obtaining $17 million would have been a better deal

Looks like the umpires threw in the (rain soaked) towel.  Game is now listed as postponed.

Should be fun playing a double header with two already-depleted bullpens.  See you tomorrow.
