Devers is hurt but trying to carry the team which he can NOT. He is not Papi II. Take him for what he is and at least he is on the field playing

He should be sitting

Unless the 10th inning hitters are better than the 9th, the BP specialist Horn will have cost the Sox yet another loss

So the SOX will start the bottom of the 10th with a runner on 2nd and no outs. What possibly could go wrong?

See what happens. Texas moved their guy to 3rd. What will Sox do-do

Refsnyder has no more ability to hit than some of the rookies. Never should have expected him to be the FT player he is now

He is a platoon player who happened to do okay vs RHPs, this year.

Does not refute the statement that he has no more ability than the rookies out here

He's one of baseball's best hitters vs LHPs for 3 years combined- for what's that is worth.

I was just speaking to the FT statement.

The pitcher was RH'ed . I like Ref as a professional player. I'm saying we have used him beyond his true ability.

He has earned the ABs vs RHPs, despite out heavy LHB tilt.

I agree, though, he should be platoon only, but will get a few ABs vs RHPs, like tonight.

He's been a big plus for this team, and his numbers vs LHPs are no fluke.

Most of our "rookie's" do not do well vs LHPs.

Mickey Gaspar, talk about a last gasp by the FO.. Yoshi will win it,

Yoshi is a roll-over of sushi s***

as soon as Masa got up to bat, i told my wife "i bet you $10 grand he grounds out to second". LOL. she was smart enough to not take it. good thing Ref got the job done. nice win.

What I like about Ref is his ability to hit game winners, bet he gets this one.

He does have some big hits, this year. No doubt.

Masa had a bad night, but not as bad as Devers.

His ability in this case was the ability to not use homophobic slurs at random fans…

Don't confuse some statements with undue criticisms. Ref was exactly the right guy to end that BP travesty, and he did. I enjoy the true pros in the game unlike some of these hackers like the 0-9 Devers and Yoshida

Because you can tell by observation, Rob R. is a professional . Duran was a loser who became a gladiator but when tempted reverted to his nature like the scorpion and frog story.

Great win, but weird stats. Sox hitters were walked 9 times and K'd 15 times--and had 9 hits (8 singles, 1 double). Sox pitchers were excellent except for 2 run dinger off of Horn and giving up 4 BB's. They held Texas to 4 hits and 3 ER's in 10 IP.

Yes, Ref's hit was big, but let's not forget that Valdez's leadoff double in the 10th was at least as big. It tied the game and put the winning run on 2b.

Looks like Devers shoulder (or whatever) could be acting up again, especially against fastballs.

On the team stats charts, the Sox offense is still ranked 5th in runs scored and 3d in team OPS. And the team ERA is still mired in 17th.
