After closing out April with another stellar pitching performance by Criswell and BP crew, not named Martin nor Jansen, Red Sox will try to keep rolling behind Kutter Crawford . Amazing that after 6 starts and a 1.35 ERA, Kutter only has 1 win, but that's baseball. The Sox 17-13 record after Mar/April is a major achievement . It does look like Bailey has had a huge influence on the pitchers . Cora has juggled through a series of significant injuries to starters in the lineup and on the mound, plus a handful of AAAA hitters Hats off to whoever is getting it done.

SF is so jet lagged , they have selected a TBD to match up.

And a special Talksox welcome to Vaughn Grissom , may you get well and on the field. It will be fun to ride your weak ass. Garrett Cooper , thanks for taking a shot on the wrist so Bobby D could run the bases, a place not so familiar to him. Your double K's were reminders why we miss Triston so much.

28 games in May, let's shoot for a 16-12 record by first completing a sweep of the Giants

Will be watching tonight's game live after recording last night's game so I could watch the BRUINS do a repeat performance of last season's PO game 5.

Interesting that just like last season's game 5 loss where Marchy had a great opportunity to win that game 5, but blew it, he did the same last night by choking on an open net shot.

Except for last night, Marchy's had a very good PO, but the fact remains he's blown the PO series winning goal for two straight seasons.

B’s last night, and C’s tonight. The best time of the year.

The San Francisco Giants have yet to name a starter for Wednesday’s middle game of the three-game series in Boston, but Daulton Jefferies is among the options for manager Bob Melvin.

Amazingly, the team is 2-4 in his starts besides these ERs allowed per start:

0 in 6 IP

1 in 4.2 IP (WIN)

0 in 5.0

0 in 5.2

1 in 6.0 (WIN)

3 in 6.0

No wins in the 3 games where he allowed no ERs!

Maybe Bobby D will explode today and have a good day. After watching him it is obvious he comes to bat in a very tentative manner with no confidence. He needs to think FU’d and just hit.

You'd think the threat of a DFA might snap him out of it.

That threat has been hanging over him for a long time now.

While Sale pitches well for Atlanta, we're still waiting for Guffman.

Nobody likes you when you're injured. Sale can relate to that.

When you posted 'post-nuclear cockroach,' my first thought was Keith Richards.

For me Richards has kind of a "made a deal with the devil" vibe going on.

Nice AB by Duran.... guy is looking really solid at the plate this year.

Followed by Devers on a 4 pitch walk, big rally starting, but K, DP and it's all over now.

I know at any moment I'll regret this post; however, Valdez looking decent defensively as he settles in it looks like.

Who knew Yaz could bunt for an RBI. ? Crawfords screws himself with 2 out BB and then a double, then the safety squeeze.
