Lively, RHP vs Houck, RHP

Guardians now 12-5 and the Sox 9-9 (and 2-6 at Fenway Park).

Attendance last night was 30K, so maybe the natives are getting restless.

In addition to the errors and the weak hitting, the pitching is struggling, especially the bullpen.

Cora asked me for more time on the lineup, and told him it's not that hard.

Nothing is as hard as it used to be?

The Red Sox are facing a real meatball pitcher tonight, so if they can’t hit this guy I don’t know what else to say.

I have MLB Extra Innings on Direct TV so all the Sox games are on. For over 60 years I have faithfully watched the Red Sox whenever I could. This team just doesn't excite me or make me want to watch them. Its a shame what John Henry is doing to this franchise. And, yes, I am extremely thankful for the 4 WS championships (04, 07, 13, 18) but these last place finishes are a disgrace and they are an insult to all Red Sox fans.

Well I just saw tonight's lineup on Red Sox First Pitch. I would comment further but it has sent me to an early visit to the liquor cabinet.

Watching the Yankems/Jays game and it's apparent the AL East will be a two team race.

I believe the SOX will have more competition for last place than in the last few tears.

A freudian slip I assume.

When I post in italics, that represents sarcasm.

When I post at all,...its sarcasm.

I virtually only posted two or three times last year because the forum did not deserve my caustic sarcasm. This year, we deserve everything we get.

Houck clears out 2 innings with only 19 pitches---Why? Because 15 were strikes . Try that BP'ers.

If Houck can get through 5 he will have the innings pitched lead for Boston after 4 rounds of starts.

4 batters in the Sox lineup with BAs below .188. 3 of them with OPS below .500 .

When your Big Bopper in the lineup is Conor Wong , you need to rethink your plan, Breslow. Injuries have messed up both pitching and hitting notably.

True-ish... I"d more say injuries revealed how little depth there was to this "roster"

Be patient, Vegas. Eventually, all those HS draft choices will turn this franchise around.
