Casas upset at Duran's antics on the base path while he is batting.... we all know what a stickler Casas is for solid and disciplined base running.

Casas ripped that one but foul unfortunately

It’s amazing how often those shots off Red Sox bats are foul and how often when they’re off opponents bats they stay fair.

I don't even think it was a balk but I'll take it

When a pitcher uses the sideways type windup (the type that looks a lot like a stretch position), he has to declare which one he is throwing out of with men on base. I think Lively failed to do this; that may have been the reason the balk was called.

Houck... for sure the best confident swagger when leaving the mound.

I wasn't going to put it exactly that way, but I entirely agree he exudes confidence. When Whitlock leaves the mound, he's like Willy Loman after another bad trip.

Wow. Just wow. A gold star by your name today and this week. First time I've ever read about that rule.

Better to be unlucky than bad. SOX are both.

They are nine and freaking nine. The problem, very clearly, is they have to play their home games at the Fens. They are 7-3 on the road.

I won’t take credit for it; the radio guys mentioned it.

If you think about it, it makes sense, because that type of wind up really could be deceptive to the baserunners.

Of course it makes sense--but it's also a little on the weird side. Anyway, thanks for the insight, borrowed or otherwise.

As well he should be. As George Carlin once said, baseball is all about coming home.

My bad. The SOX aren't bad; they're just unlucky.

I don't think they're bad, but I sure don't think they're good.

Injuries-wise, their luck has been bad.

Who can now balk at the idea of Houck as a SP'er?

I was more in favor for him to be a starter than Whitlock. I never had a problem with him being a starter

Missed the bag???? Missed touching 1B!!!!!??????

The other they he didn’t tag the bag trying to make a double play and cost us literally a game.

I would let him finish this game. No one in the pen I would trust to hold a 2 run lead

I don’t want to see Jansen in a while on the mound.
