First, you have to buy the club from Henry... but don't bet on him even extending his hand to shake on it.

I'll come with the Sunday coupons!

In the last 24 hours, between the journos, the Sox have been: only lurking for Imanaga, long shots and now one of the favourites.

The amount of BS around at the moment is a sight to see.

Media coverage is fueled by clicks and hits. The long shot story apparently didn’t generate enough of them, so they are trying a new angle…

Someone says we are Faves, now?

Heyman says "very much in play." Maybe just trying to drive bidding up on the true buyers.

Heyman reporting we are 'very much in play'.

So almost certainly ********. Especially as Spier and Cotillo have said we're all but out.

As many others have said, it's been an absolute s*** show for baseball reporting this offseason. Nobody seems to have a clue.

Heyman is unreliable for sure.

On Imanaga:

@JonHeyman

Update: Hearing now Giants also looking elsewhere so they are not one of the 5 finalists.

They were considered the favorites as of last night?

Morosi also had the Sox among the favorites. Several others as well, but many appear to be parroting Heyman and Morosi…

It turns out Imanaga hates cable cars and Rice-A-Roni…

Am I alone in liking Imanaga over Stroman?

My wish list, as of now:

FA only

1. Monty

2. Snell

3. Imanaga

4. Stroman-Bauer tie

6. Clevinger-Paxton (1 yr) tie

It does seem to be the case that San Fran is one of the least favored destinations now and they have to pay a heavy premium to sign anyone.

Four days ago, it was down to the Giants, Angels, Cubs and Red Sox.

Now some talking heads have the Giants and Angels moving on. And it’s down to just the Red Sox and Cubs?

I’m predicting tomorrow Imanaga signs with the Dodgers…

If you don’t get paid heavily, you can’t live there. Refrigerator cartons under the Oakland Bay Bridge are now going for $7.5mill.

Don't get too excited, all that what was said was that the Red Sox and Cubs are "very much in play".

Damn hippies -- flowers in their hair; try cutting it.. at least wash it. Blame it on the Grateful Dead (said the once wharf rat).

No blame for Scott McKenzie?

I think the cost of living in San Fran was best summed up by Tony Bennett, who clearly acknowledged the cost was much more than just an arm and a leg…

Buster Posey (yes, that's a flower) is now part of San Fran ownership and he came right out and said players seems to be shying away from San Fran because of the crime and drugs.

Then it wasn't the hippies, who took all the organics with them when they were chased out of the city. Everything now is laced with high fructose corn syrup.

I don't want this discussion to get political, but I thought it was kind of remarkable that Posey would publicly state that his city has a serious image problem and it's hurting the baseball team.

The hippies all got Novell certificates and took IT jobs years ago..

He was walking in the Haight and tried the purple bud. Really bad experience.

The only one left is Wavy Gravy, but the last time I saw him was when he was doing an event for the Ben & Jerry's on Haight & Ashbury. Sellout!!!

Didn't he trade Cherry Garciaparra before Don and Jerry won their first rings?
