So glad we got Barraclaugh instead of a real relief pitcher…

But... we're the Underdogs! It just didn't make sense to Bloom or Kennedy to trade ANY prospects for a legitimate bullpen piece that only measly fans and Jansen and Devers asked for before the deadline.

Don't worry, by tomorrow, some poster will complain how Alex Cora just can't seem to manage to squeeze blood out of stone.

Everyone was waiting for the injured pitches to come back, which they did, but both Sale, and Houck have both added more extra work by the BP by being on pitch counts, and not going very deep.

Didn't see that coming. If the slim chance that Cora doesn't return as SOX manager next season, I'll be as distraught as Max was when VAZ was traded.

Check your wording. I think you mean to say--in a roundabout way--that you would be happy to see Cora get fired.

To be honest, I too question leaving Barraclough in. Yesterday was actually a kind of rest day because Cora left Murphy in for 4 innings and 6 runs and Llovera pitched the last inning. Plus Barraclough went in with a 1 run lead.

Are they just going to leave this s***** bum in and completely blow this game away? What are we doing and why is no one warming up?

Cora is a clown.

Truly ridiculous to give this game up and get a little more buried. It starts with Sale being marginal and bringing in the star of the WooSox bullpen to hold the fort . The mismanagement of this team from FO on down is beyond words

The 'white flag' industry continues to thrive because of Cora.

Happier than a fly in dog s***.

Tell me that Cora leaving Barraclough out there to die is not a comment from the dugout to the Owner's suite.

I sure can't tell you that. What we are seeing is nothing less than mind-boggling.

It’s what I’ve been saying. This team is terrible coached, trained and managed. Terribly!

Sale is not Chris Freakin' Sale, anymore.

Having to go with pitchers like Bearclaw tells the season story.

We are now hanging by the thin tread.

What do you think the other players in the field are thinking right now?

When criminals in this world appear,

And break the laws that they should fear,

And frighten all who see or hear,

The cry goes up both far and near for

Underdog,

Underdog,

Underdog,

Underdog.

Maybe Cora wants to be fired. I hope he gets his wish.

Maybe he knows Dusty Baker will retire, and he's got a spot lined up.

Unfortunately, the signal is also going to the players on the field and in the dugout.

Wouldn't it be a good change if V-tek was managing next year.

Yes. But why would he want the grief ? I am actually surprised Jason is as dedictaed to coaching and continuing in baseball as he is. You never know the real motivations.

You don't think the players on the field are just a little irked, as well, that their CBO abandoned ship in July?

They're professionals, so maybe winning isn't life and death, but any business or company can go down the tubes if the owners let it go to hell and crush morale.

The NESN commentators just showed a slide depicting the number of pitches thrown by each reliever over the last week.

So Old Red has a point. If you count Pivetta, the Sox now have 6 starters, but they ain't going very many innings--except for Bello's 7 innings in his last start.

The other thing to remember is that on August 4, 24 days ago, the Sox began a string of 48 games with just 3 days off interspersed. That's a killer.

In regards to Cora, don't let the door hit you or your 'scheduled days of rest' in the ass when you leave.

Also relates to my comments in other forum about whether there is any sense of team in Boston with the revolving door, and disjointed management upstairs and on the field. Total guess but there may be some deep discord around this bunch
