I've seen some great pitching by the Sox over the last month- sadly our bats didn't support some of those really good starts.

The "outta here" guy is the optimist here? That's really funny.

Here’s the deal: I don’t mind losing games but when we get behind by a lot of runs early or play like unfocused idiots it’s not entertaining for me. If the players don’t care why should we?

Today was entertaining at least and except for the dumb play by Urias the team seemed focused.

"Very much?" I guess that will depend on Sale, Houck, Whitlock and Story and how they perform and how long Sale and Whitlock can stay healthy. So, "very much" may be a bit too optimistic. And then there's the SOX 'bipolar' offense to contend with.

If none of those guys comeback, we are still in it.

If 1-2 comeback, we are very much in it.

If 3-4 comeback, I would not bet against us making the playoffs.

How is hoping just 2 out of 4 returning very good players return being overly optimistic?

One could argue 3 out of 4 is the odds on favorite number to return.

Story and Sale are already playing.

Whitlock and Houck are throwing pen sessions.

Cora revealed yesterday that when Whitlock returns, he will go to the BP.

i've said for 2 years that they are screwing him up by trying to make him a starter. Leave him in the bullpen.

Yes, the amount of time he's spent on the IL seems to clinch it.

And the amount of defensive flounder by Kike at shortstop should have clinched his removal. But somehow even after Cora said he was done, Hernandez kept finding himself penciled into the lineup at shortstop …

I'd say we're at the beating a dead horse stage on Kike now.

I'm not sure anything more can be added.

It's all rehash, now.
